There are some great duets on this album - not over-romantic but realistic M/F relationship songs. My favourite (not least because I like Dolores Keane's singing) is
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_t3K4MV ... =joasha156
Real credit to John Prine for who he got to duet with him on this: Iris Dement, Lucinda Williams, Trisha Yearwood, Emmylou, Dolores Keane, et al
Otherwise, has anybody mentioned Marvin and Tammy yet? some memorable tracks from them

Never listened to John Prine. I’ll definitely be listening more to his music.
Also "Angel from Montgomery" and there's lots of stuff on YouTube, try Austin City Limits concerts. John died from covid in March last year.

Thanks levraiclaret, I’ll be checking out some of those songs.

Peters & Lee
Many moons ago I was 'wetting the babies head' on the Old Kent Road and Peter & Lee were performing in the Dun Cow.
Entry was 10p or similar, you were given a Raffle ticket and I won a giant Teddy bear and a kiss from Dianne

Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. Great affection for each other you could hear in their songs. Not sure he ever got over her untimely death.
This. They never made a bad song. Ain't no Mountain High Enough is my favourite song of all time.

Marvin never really got over Tammi's death as he loved her very much not romantically but like a sister. After her death he took about 3 years out from music and got heavily involved with drugs.
Marvin and Tammi had a great chemistry going between them and like Firthy I loved all of their songs
Here's another one of their classics......You're All I Need to Get By

Not to mention, Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing, Good Lovin' Ain't Easy to Come By, The Onion Song and if you want to hear the depth of feeling they had listen "Your Precious Love" lesser known song than the others but still a classic.

I have a soft spot for Sonny and Cher but for me the best Female/Male duet is without a doubt, just for me, is that which I play often and loud, car sound always goes up for this:

I know Phil Collins and Marilyn Martin had a hit with the original version of Seperate Lives but check out this live version from Phil Collins Final Farewell Tour with one of his backing singers Amy Keys, brings a shiver to your spine. One of the best live duets I've ever seen.
