I suppose Lampard was only ever a stop gap. Hope it doesn’t put him off applying for jobs in the future. Sure it won’t.

Re: Lampard to be sacked
Bloody hell, I've just been reading in the paper about how a new banner was unfurled at the Bridge yesterday saying "In Frank we trust. Then. Now. Forever."
Hope the fans responsible didn't pay too much for it.

Re: Lampard to be sacked
No.....like others before him he will become a pundit and Harp on with criticism regards how the game should be played and talk of the past how great he and the rest of them were....bla fcuking bla!GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 12:17 pmSo I'm wondering where he does now.
Half decent record in the championship, but that's tempered by being unable to manage high profile and expensive players in the PL.
He's shown he can do a job, just needs to find a level that suits him.
Celtic it is then

Incredible, they deserve all they get. Lampard won’t be too bothered, he will have a massive payout and probably soon get another job.

Apparently a refund has been requested at Argos...

Really?
Re: Lampard to be sacked
No surprise. The revolving door never seems to stop at the Bridge with the ruthless Russian.

Re: Lampard to be sacked
Some of the Chelsea players being upset at Lampard criticising their performances is almost laughable, babies, pram and rattle springs to mind. Still think they should have stuck with him, weeded out the babies and cracked on. Imagine if Klopp lost the next two games!

Shame they couldn't have given him a few more weeks until we played them

Re: Lampard to be sacked
Yes I saw that on the telly, it seems harsh considering they're still in the CL, and reached the 5th round of the FA Cup yesterday, and it's not like anybody is running away with the title this season, blimey! it was only about 7 weeks ago Chelsea topped the table themselves.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 12:24 pmBloody hell, I've just been reading in the paper about how a new banner was unfurled at the Bridge yesterday saying "In Frank we trust. Personally I'd rather he'd been kept in post for another week or two at least, this announcement makes our trip to the Bridge all the harder then it otherwise might have been, with their recent form I thought we had half a chance of nicking summat, we still might but you sense their players will now be out to impress the new gaffer.

Always inevitable just a question of when & not if, when you are in that position with a high profile club with massive expectations whether realistic or not you only need a odd patch of topsy turvy results & mediocre performances your P45 is waiting, FL is better off stepping down (no choice in the matter now) & just managing a lower PL club or take something on in the championship where there’s less pressure & you can get away with the odd bad result he’ll get cut more slack somewhere less prestigious being a decorated footballer for the commercial opportunities the name offers.

Re: Lampard to be sacked
Reputedly on £4 million per year and with about 18 months to run so he can take about £6 million and have a rest. Theyll presumably come up with a deal that allows him to seek work more quickly though, I doubt he's the type to sit twiddling his thumbs. A bit of punditry in the meantime probably.Cirrus_Minor wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 1:12 pmIncredible, they deserve all they get.
