I couldn't answer, the goal comes from open play with a cross from Dwight originally.

A free kick preceded the cross from McNeill, I think Long had stayed up from that.

At Spurs I asked myself the same question when Tarkowski gave son the ball...who then went up the field and scored a goal. Well done Kevin Long.

TBF that definitely was our free kick and we launched it up into their box and it fell perfectly for Tarks at his feet who promptly mis controlled it, lost out and the rest becomes not only history, but apparently goal of the season (But on the plus side Tarks should have been credited with an assist!)
BTW I also immediately questioned why Long was in Fulham's box on Sunday so long after the original free kick had been taken. It did seem a bit random.

It was a question about why a centre half was in the box to score a goal in open play. It's very un Burnley like. It was explained about he stayed up a while after a free kick.

Before this thread starts going OT, I can only surmise that Kev Long being so advanced showed our confidence, and he certainly took it well, good to see us being clinical for once and not just sitting on a lead, but by goodness Fulham were awful, and 3-0 didn't flatter us at all.
