Predictions vs Villa

Post by tiger76 » Tue Jan 26, 2021 11:12 pm

:o no one has started this thread yet, so here goes I think we'll take something, but we'll have to score, so I'll call a 1-1 draw, the last few games have been tight between the sides, and tomorrow will be no exception.

If we give grealish the freedom we have him last season then I struggle to see us getting anything. If we can play like we know we can then we can get something. It isn’t often we have 3 good games on the bouns though so I am going for a loss. 3-1 maybe. Hope I am wrong.

I’m gonna be a bit more realistic here.

5-0 to the Mighty Clarets. Goals coming from various sources with two VAR assists.

If Wood plays i'm going for 0 - 0, If Wood doesn't play i'm going for 2 - 1 win.

I thought 4 points from the next 3 would be a good return, and the win in this sequence is far more important v Brighton, so for that reason I'm going

1-1

Feeling quite upbeat from our last couple of performances. Cynic in me would target Grealish - still a hot head and liable to a red card. Perhaps Beardsley/Lowton combo? Shame we couldn’t bring Barton in for the odd match😳

1 red card (for 2 bookable offences) in 286 appearances would suggest he isn’t liable to a red card.

Good to see some who appreciate Wood's defensive work.

I’ll be surprised if it’s any other score than 1-1.

We will win 2-0; Woody will give us the lead in the first half then Jayrod will come on as sub and score the second around the 80 minute mark

How long is it since Wooden and Barny scored, apart from Barny's pen at Liverpool? If Sean continues to rely on an ineffective strikforce, I can't see us getting anything against Villa. Wooden at least must be dropped.

OK, Fulham were poor, but at least our strikers looked good against them and it's time to give them a chance in the league.

With Wooden and Barny 0-2

With Vyds and JayRod 2-1

I'll take the over on that. The number of career-threatening injuries that man has had.

2-1 to Burnley.
Our performance can only be better than the last time we played them at home. On New Year's Day 2020. Feels like a long time ago now.
