Westy foul on Barkley which played in Wood. Whistle went long before it eventually went in off the keeper

Villa have looked impressive so far - look particularly strong from wide positions

I wonder if villa have had an easier night
Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
Ben Mee has a mistake in him, thats why he doesn't captain England and plays for Burnley. However Ben Mee does not make a mistake every game. In fact I actually think Ben Mee saves at least one goal a game with blocks and last ditch tackles.Right_winger wrote: ↑Wed Jan 27, 2021 6:24 pmIt was a well worked goal but Mee lost his marker that close to the goal was poor. What is it with us against Villa at home? We look like we can’t be bothered. Where’s the fight?

it seems you cant tackle anymore
Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
This ref is poor
Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
Very similar to last season's performance ... I would of played Cork and let Brownhill man mark Grealish ... stop him and you have a chance ..

Refs a joke
He's falling for everything they do.
Imagine if they were a goal down, they'd have a FK every 10 seconds

Bardsley would have put Grealish into the stands by now...
Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
Everything move they try works at the moment
Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
Villa absolutely dominating the space. We're like rabbits in the headlights.
Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
Not lack of effort - that's certainly not us - Villa have just been very good, energetic and sharp.

Don't see why people are blaming the ref. We are being outplayed.

Move for us broke down then because Wood is stood a mile offside and wingers have no where to give it
Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
Would go with 5 in Midfield we are being overrun

They get the ball, run at pace towards our defence. We get it and either hoof it aimlessly, or somehow get it to a wide player who stops, try’s to cut inside and probably passes it backwards.

We need a different option than simply hitting a hopeful cross into the box. Most teams have figured out that's all we do

Thought it was exceptional movement from Watkins to force himself in front of Mee.
It makes me chuckle when nobody gives the opposition any credit.

Shocking so far. Why are we fouling them so much. Just be switched on and get there first.

Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
Completely outplayed. Grealish and Barkley look a class above anything we have.
Re: The Mighty Clarets v The Villains (matchday thread)
Have we had any attempts at goal ?

Dyche's only tactic is to boot it or foul them.

Westwood really poor so far. Don’t ask about Brady.

There is no structure or rythm to our play. Awful.
