"Nick Pope was forced into a safe"
Thank goodness they didn't lock him in there.. we would have never won

Tony, unless the Premier League have introduced the controversial "thirty ninth game ", we've only nineteen games left, not twenty.
Agree that four wins and a couple of draws will be enough.

Duly corrected. I do think, right now, that 34 points will keep a team up this season but I’d take a couple of draws as well to make sure.lakedistrictclaret wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 6:02 pmTony, unless the Premier League have introduced the controversial "thirty ninth game ", we've only nineteen games left, not twenty.

Re: REPORT: Heroes and Villains
The form from the last 12 matches will see us finish top half again...first target another 5 wins for me
Re: REPORT: Heroes and Villains
It was a magnificent result that against a full strength Villa side sporting some real midfield talent.
You mention an out of sorts Brownhill and i agree like his team mates they were in the first half, SD said he took a knock and that was why he was subbed.

Bodge, not 100% about this, but I thought I heard the TV commentator say Browny had passed a late fitness test; maybe whatever that was, it was affecting his game. The substitution was probably a good move all round...and it paid off handsomely.

I think he kicked the bottom of a Villa player's foot in a challenge early on. I suggested after Sunday's victory I'd almost forgotten what it was like to be relaxed towards the end of a game. It was equally satisfying last night to jump to my feet and punch the air when that third goal wemt in. That feeling of euphoria is priceless for any football fan.

I knocked a table over and sent stuff flying. At least I’d finished the brew.Silkyskills1 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 7:22 pmIt was equally satisfying last night to jump to my feet and punch the air when that third goal wemt in.
