Sheffield United have to give everything to get points on board, it's an entertaining watch

That's their 9th PL red card under Arteta, and in the same period no other team has had more than 3, it's hard to win games without keeping XI men on the pitch.

Apologies. I saw it on sky as Bristol and then Stanley and they were showing Stanleys second. It must have already been on the board.

Re: Tonight's footy 2/2/21
Draw would have been ideal, but if there was to be a winner I'd rather it was the Blades than the Baggies, still an 8 point gap to the bottom 3, and some winnable games on the horizon after City.
Yet again West Brom throw points away from a winning position, and they've taken 1 point out of a possible 6 from Fulham and Sheff Utd, BFS will know they've blown a great chance to narrow the gap on the teams above them, and they both only have 16 games left to put points on the board.
Sheff Utd bizarrely are now hitting form, but you have to feel they've left themselves with too much ground to make up in the time remaining, despite their valiant efforts it'll probably all be in vain.

Re: Tonight's footy 2/2/21
So happy that BFS is failing again. That should be two of the relegation slots filled already
Re: Tonight's footy 2/2/21
Well your right so far
Re: Tonight's footy 2/2/21
Terrible result for us. If Burnley fans are worried of being caught, Sheffield United are only a win behind Fulham now with a bit of momentum behind them.

But West Brom have bought all these shiny new signings to lift them to safety, and they've have BFS at the helm who's never been relegated, so what could possibly go wrong.RalphCoatesComb wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 8:08 pmSo happy that BFS is failing again. It's definitely not a bad result im not sure how you work that out. They're 11 points behind us having played 2 more games. They have a possible 48 points to play for but need 25 or so from that to have a chance of survival

Re: Tonight's footy 2/2/21
Disgusting tackle
Re: Tonight's footy 2/2/21
That was defending of true cowardice. Defender see the danger of a shot. Runs rapidly to close down. Shelves about to pull the trigger. Defender suddenly turns his back and steps away from Shelvey, ad though he is a goalkeeper, rather than about to shoot for goal. Horrendous.
Re: Tonight's footy 2/2/21
My point was, some Burnley fans are worried about going down. The team in 20th are within a win of the 18th placed team. If some think Fulham can catch us then way can’t Sheffield United?DomBFC1882 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 8:17 pmIt's definitely not a bad result im not sure how you work that out. Re: Tonight's footy 2/2/21
I personally don't however one reason could possibly be that Fulham still have to play us twice and that's a potential 6 point swing where as we have already beat sheff utd here.
If it's not that then im not sure mate

Re: Tonight's footy 2/2/21
What a goal from palace!!
Re: Tonight's footy 2/2/21
Fulham and West Brom both won 2 in 22 Sheff U 3 in 22 ....
We have won 6 in 20 .... odds would say its a helluva swing in the next 16 games for them to over take us though wouldn't you think ...
As has been said we play Fulham twice and West Brom and Sheff U too ...
All we have to do is match our 1st half of the season form and we are safe.

16 more points will take us to 38. That’s 5 wins and a draw, from 18 matches. Injuries aside more than enough in this strange season.

Re: Tonight's footy 2/2/21
Exactly! and don't forget we also had a terrible start, now yes in theory all the bottom 3 could catch us, but does anybody think that's going to happen, what they appear to be doing is cutting each other's throats, which is exactly what the doctor ordered for us and everybody else down there, if anything the gap has widened in recent weeks, as Brighton, Burnley & Newcastle have all started putting results on the board, and if we can't amass another 14/15 points from a possible 54, then we really do have problems, as it happens I think we'll be fairly comfortable, but of course the sooner we can get to 35+ points the better for all those of a nervous disposition.Bosscat wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 8:37 pmFulham and West Brom both won 2 in 22 Sheff U 3 in 22 ....

Four wins, two draws will be enough.
