David moyes
Kudos to him. Just noticed how high West Ham are flying ahead of their game tonight with Villa.
When there were rumours as to why he was visiting here must admit I wouldn’t have been overly excited about the prospect. Even though it never happened. But he’s done a cracking job at West Ham. Especially when his reputation had taken a bartering (maybe rightly so) at Sunderland.
United you can excuse as who would want to follow Ferguson. But the job he’s done both times at West Ham has been excellent. Queue Villa win tonight.

Re: David moyes
With hindsight his time at ManU wasn’t at all bad. Their expectations were to high.
He made a mistake taking the Sunderland job. Watching the netflix shows, although he wasn’t covered, it looked a madhouse back then.

Re: David moyes
Completely, don't get the criticism in general of Moyes. His career has been pretty darn good when you look back at his spells. Gets judged on his Utd days & everyone has a blip somewhere along the way, his being Sunderland but they've been a joke, badly run club for too long to remember.
Done well at West Ham, well liked by Everton after 10 years or so there, so obviously did something right, and at PNE was excellent.
He's obviously never won anything significant, apart from PNE promotion, but without Moyes at the helm those clubs have done nothing since really.

Re: David moyes
Beggars belief that he kept West Ham up and they ditched him for Pellegrini, eventually having to bring him back to keep them up again and now this season. Difficult season at Man U, more difficult in Spain, impossible at Sunderland but other than that he's done well and continues to.

Re: David moyes
Hmm! not sure about that, they impressed in their win at Villa tonight, and have a fair gap to the mid-table teams, I can't see them gate-crashing the top 4, but a EL spot isn't out of the question for them.

Re: David moyes
Never understood the negativity towards him, had 2 long term jobs as a manager Preston & Everton and done a very good job at both. West Ham made a ridiculous decision replacing him and he could have been forgiven for telling the same owners to **** off when they went back to him and asked him to save them.
He is a level headed decent guy who does a goob job when given stability, something he no doubt would be given if he was ever the manager here.

A good bloke and a good manager, Give him time to build, he will build.
The sort that would do well here.
Very hard to do that at a toxic club where the rot has already set in.

Re: David moyes
Have I ever told you I've met him in Lytham
Always thought he was an arrogant so and so. Couldn't have been further from the truth. Really down to earth, happy to chat. Lovely chap

I really like David Moyes, top bloke and I’m pleased he’s doing well, just a shame it’s with the team he’s at now...

Re: David moyes
Not sure how much influence he has in their transfer activity but their recent signings seem to be a marked improvement on previous years. Coufal, looks very good. Bowen has been good. Dawson playing well. Seem to have a harder edge to them than previous West Ham sides. He's doing a very good job. They were excellent against Villa last night.

Unbelievable result yesterday. And a great season. Proving what good manager he is for that sort of club.

Re: David moyes
I'm afraid you might have to reassess this prediction, presently they're 12 points clear of Wolves in 11th, so it's highly likely that they will finish top 10.
Now whether they will finish top 4 I still have my doubts Chelsea, Liverpool. Everton and even Villa will feel they can overtake the Hammers, but whatever happens in the rest of the campaign they've enjoyed a great season considering where they finished last term.
