Re: Predictions vs Fulham
Burnley 2 - 0
Just love the bookies odds for the game again...the mighty Fulham are slight favourites
I’d love to know how they work this out when Burnley play pretty much anyone.
PPG 1.13, last eight 1.25 versus PPG 0.78, last eight 0.88
Form guide last 6 to 12 matches Burnley placed between 4 and 6 places higher in the table
When you add in that Fulham haven’t won at Burnley since April 1951 it’s a joke...
Great news for the punter that we are priced incorrectly yet again.

Re: Predictions vs Fulham
Burnley 1-0 Fulham. Was simpler when you expected "Burnley are unchanged"!

BBC Sport:
Burnley are unbeaten in the past 30 home meetings in all competitions, winning 25 and drawing five - it's their longest such run against a single opponent. They last lost this fixture in April 1951.
Is that true? Incredible stat.
2, 1 to Burnley!

Re: Predictions vs Fulham
I find it funny how Fulham have won three games all season they come to our ground were they havnt won for donkeys years and the bedwetters are predicting they are going to somehow beat us....time to grow some balls and stop worrying about nothing....like i said its a routine 2:0 win for us and another step to condemning the current useless bottom three clubs back to the Championship

Re: Predictions vs Fulham
Fulham were good at Everton in midweek; winning 2-0.
We should win tonight, but will take nothing for granted.

Re: Predictions vs Fulham
They were helped by Everton resting their 2 good centre halfs and playing Holgate & Godfrey instead as well as playing 120 minutes in midweek in the cup.
Everton on Sunday were gutless and some championship sides would have won there.

Sheer arrogance from Ancelotti thinking it's only Fulham,I rest both my center halves......got what they deserved...humiliated!claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 9:46 amThey were helped by Everton resting their 2 good centre halfs and playing Holgate & Godfrey instead as well as playing 120 minutes in midweek in the cup.

All true, but let's hope Fulham's confidence isn't unduly heightened.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 9:46 amThey were helped by Everton resting their 2 good centre halfs and playing Holgate & Godfrey instead as well as playing 120 minutes in midweek in the cup.

That would be a bit harsh, even if they beat us...

That's tonight well and truly jinxed then. Absolutely hate stats like this!LoveCurryPies wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 8:27 amBBC Sport:

Re: Predictions vs Fulham
The bookies odds have shifted quite noticeably in favour of Fulham since it was announced that Ben Mee will not be playing. Our record without Ben is nothing like as good as with him. This one could go any one of three ways, depending on bits and pieces around each penalty area.
Re: Predictions vs Fulham
My predictions for tonight:
(1)Fulham were excellent against Everton and will be a danger, I do think however Burnley will be too solid a unit for them to breakdown and fancy a win. Hard ground out 1-0 victory.
(2)Tarkowski will be mom.
(3)Brady will come on and give the ball away quite a few times putting us in trouble.
(4)Barnes will score a fanatic goal, such a sweet strike.

Re: Predictions vs Fulham
Going into Sunday's game Fulham had one of the worst records in English football playing away against an opponent (Everton) without winning spanning 27 games.
Even after Sunday's win Fulham still hold the record though, having gone 28 games without registering a victory away against Arsenal.
Stats courtesy of Saturday's Daily Mail.

Re: Predictions vs Fulham
I think Sean will get after them from the start to try and get an early goal. Joey again. Another second half. Kev. They will hit the post. 2:0

Re: Predictions vs Fulham
I’m guessing that was league games, given it is 30 against us at the Turf...kentonclaret wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 11:08 amGoing into Sunday's game Fulham had one of the worst records in English football playing away against an opponent (Everton) without winning spanning 27 games.

Either way the record at Everton, Arsenal and the turf shows that Fulham have always been beyond bad away from home. Tbh they have been big favourites in the past and lost at the turf...I remember a one nil win around twenty years ago when they were top of the league. Embarrassing record tbh

Re: Predictions vs Fulham
Dont write off Fulham. They may not have won many but they are hard to beat, and generally played well since the new year. Dont get me wrong we are capable of winning this, but it depends "which Burnley" turn up

Hibsclaret
Yes, you are correct it just covers record in league matches.
Match stats of this type count for very little this campaign as results have shown us thus far.

Re: Predictions vs Fulham
Can't go for any other result than a Burnley win tonight, but we will have to keep an eye on this young striker of theirs, Josh Maja. He's only 22 but his brace at Everton will lift his confidence no end.
I hope Sean doesn't mess with the defence too much, or it could cost us.
2-1 Burnley.

Re: Predictions vs Fulham
My point was if we go into it with the mindset a draw is a good result (which it will be) we’ll come unstuck.
Re: Predictions vs Fulham
Odds are still drifting. You can get 3.1 on a home win now.Hibsclaret wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 8:01 amBurnley 2 - 0

I don't think the bookies get much wrong usually but I'm not sure what they're doing with this game. I'll be laying the **** out of Fulham.

Prices might alter once team news out as Maja is expected to miss out for them

My prediction for tonight is a very nervous 90 minutes for me, but hopefully not the players 1-1

Re: Predictions vs Fulham
Maja was taken off early against Everton with a tight calf.
I expect him to start but not to complete the full 90.
Let's hope he hasn't netted twice before coming off
Fulham currently unbeaten in all matches played against sides currently in the bottom 6.
Prediction : 1-1

Re: Predictions vs Fulham
Betfair offering 15/8 Burnley win and near enough 3/2 for Fulham, looks like they fancy the Cottagers tonight.
Let's hope they caught with their trousers down.

Re: Predictions vs Fulham
Without Mee I fancy Fulham for at least 1 if not 2 goals, so we'll need goals.
Very hard to predict.
