Both decent players, both will have better days. We do need to udgrade our attacking options though.

Don't be daft. You can't blame the forwards for that display. Forwards need service and they got very little.
We’d have won comfortably with them two starting.

All the warning signs were there two minutes before the kick off on the realisation we'd be kicking towards the Jimmy Mac first half:

you could see shoulders slumped
heads visibly dropped

It was always going to be difficult from that moment on; just a case of holding on as best we could and somehow claw a draw out of a very difficult situation.

Both. What’s your opinion?
We need investment in the squad first and foremost.

If you think the manager needs to go at the same time then you need to have a lie down.

The problem we have is that after the next 2 games things might look a whole lot worse. That's why, like most other teams this season, we really should have mugged this lot for all 3 points, especially at home.

We’d played 30mins with the same mindset before the sending off.
It was understandable to settle into a game we didn’t want to lose and that mindset should have changed immediately they were a man short. That was the time to raise our tempo and go for a goal before half time

How would they of got the ball? we weren’t exactly getting the ball anywhere near the box from our midfield.

West Brom: Organised, enthusiastic, trying to win it, even after the sending off, fit, full of running, first to every second ball and could so easily have nicked the 3 points.
To be fair, that was the least you could expect from WBA today. They've had a week off, (we're short on numbers), and it was an absolute must win for them. They should have been up for it and must have really seen it as a big opportunity.
They are poor though.

How would Chris and Ash make a difference when nobody behind them can find a team mate.

Outplayed at home, by 10 men, by a team that has only won twice all season, shouldn't be acceptable by anyone.
I just hope SD has the honesty to call the players out for it. I know we have injuries, but no one on the pitch playing pinball was injured. There's no excuse for it. Tell us so, and tell the players please..

* When will Dwight begin to use his right foot?
* Why does Matej spend time looking so upset or disappointed instead of getting after the ball?
* Similarly Jay today
* Why are so many of our players intent on dribbling the ball almost to the player that they are going to pass to? (Especially from the back out towards the wing areas). By then the space has been closed down.
* Why are we so reactive as a team rather than be proactive when going forward? We seem to always be chasing the ball rather than having it to feet as the player moves into space early.

I was unsure whether to post this but after today's performance I had to say it to someone and no-one is here.

Fulham could easily get 6 points from their next two games, as could Brighton. Even Newcastle could get three at home to Wolves

I’m making no excuses whatsoever for an abject performance today that should have led to us being beaten easily by a team going down.
However , West Brom came away with points at City and Liverpool and beat Wolves away as well. They also held Utd last week so are not a side short of belief. Thankfully they are useless in front of goal

Im going to cut the players some slack here.

Been bang at it for weeks, lots of injuries (some of the team will be carrying injuries as well) and a threadbare bench.

Terrible conditions.

8 days off, i wouldn't have them in until wednesday.

I dont think they need crucifying, they worked hard as always but the spark just isn't there.

5 points from 3 games, well done, move on.

I agree CFC. What’s disappointing is these players failing to take the opportunity. They must KNOW SD will opt for the other two, why nit give him a selection headache?
Of course this display will be used to argue for the starting of the other two, but what do we do about the other 8 outfield players?

We desperately needed a "leader" out there today. Ben should have been barking at them, as we got worse as the game got older.

Yes, 3 games in 7 days with handful of key players injured for squad depth, and the weather was terrible. Dyche had tried to get the Fulham game to be played another time but was rejected. We take it on the chin and get on with it.

I thought we tried to play the same today as against Palace and Brighton, just the quality was totally absent.

The highlight, I've been complaining about for a long, long time. It's school boy stuff. The same as playing simple cross field balls behind the man, so he has no alternative but to pass back. It's just as well I'm already bald.

If anything at times it was too much effort. Each player just wanted to do what they could to win, but came up short. Cork carried the ball for 30 yards in the second half, normally he would pass and go, but it looked like he wanted to make something happen, which lost our shape and eventually came to nothing.

I’m not going to criticise the team for running on empty, because that’s what it was today.

I think you will find Tarkowski and frankly anyone who knows anything about football disagrees with you and your tinted spectacles
I don't agree with everything ClaretTony posts but I can't believe that somebody like Westwood wasn't giving 100%. He,like a lot of the team, just had a horrible day. Why would Westwood not give 100%?

Well I agree with him. How have you decided that any of the players weren't trying 100%? What criteria have you used to come to that conclusion?

The players always put a shift in yesterday was no different it just had that feel about it from kick off, something just wasn't right in the camp.

Sometimes, when you try too hard it goes even worse. However frustrating that performance might have been - and there was lots of swearing at the TV in our house at the level of incompetence on show - I don't for a minute think the players weren't trying and giving 100%. I suspect they were more frustrated than all of us watching, quite frankly.....
