I have just read this book which is recently released and enjoyed it very much. It is called “An End of Innocence” subtitled “ The Watershed Season of 1959/60”
It covers the 1950’s then the season of our winning the First Division , then the 1960’s and to a lesser extent the 1970’s. Burnley is well represented throughout but there is much about other sides too.
Perhaps, it is a book which appeals to an older generation who remember those times well but it is extremely well written and for £10-50 is worth every penny. I got my copy from Amazon but I am sure the club shop will have it soon.
