Yes not a disaster thanks to generally unfavourable results for the other bottom teams particularly Brighton.

But apart from us, Brighton were the only team down there who didn't pick up anything (I'm not including Sheffield United, as they're already gone).

Great to read that our debut boy got Kane's shirt.

Yes. If he doesn’t make it and falls on hard times, it'll be worth a few quid on eBay.

Re: REPORT: Another tough afternoon at Tottenham
I thought we played OKish but coming back after going 1 down was always going to be a huge ask. Spurs really hit us with those long balls over the top as we tried to be more expansive in our style like many have been calling for over the last few months. It has to be remembered that every one of those Spurs attackers (if not all their outfield players) would be an instant first choice if they were at Burnley

Conceding early goals rarely makes it easy so just one of those days so put behind us.

I thought they were happy to let us to have the ball. Once we lost possession they could just 'pick us off'. I'm relieved it was just four goals in the end and that Tottenham didn't need more to boost their goals total to gain a more advanced league position. When you see the Portuguese one grinning 'like a Cheshire cat' it just reinforces how easy it was for them.

They’re first choice for their countries, certainly Bale, Kane and Son. Just a shame those 3 haven’t been able to play against our rivals this seasonbfcmik wrote: ↑Mon Mar 01, 2021 5:51 pmI thought we played OKish but coming back after going 1 down was always going to be a huge ask. Re: REPORT: Another tough afternoon at Tottenham
I’ve just checked the goal scoring facts for the Premier League 2020/21 season so far.
The strikers that started the Spurs v Burnley game on Sunday.
For Spurs … Harry Kane 14 & Son Heung-min 13 - total 27
For Burnley … Jay Rodriguez 1 & Matej Vydra 0 - total 1

Re: REPORT: Another tough afternoon at Tottenham
If there's one team you don't want to gift an early lead to it's Spurs, once they got their noses in front it was always going to be a struggle, and their pace on the break was frightening, as others have remarked I'm thankful it was only 4, at HT it looked ominous, and I feared 7/8 flying past us, so we need to quickly put this behind us, and try and get some sort of result against Leicester, that won't be easy either, but the fact they are missing several regulars offers us hope.
The big positives were we actually looked dangerous going forwards, and Richardson made his PL debut, sure he was only on for a couple of minutes, but he didn't look out of place.
Apart from our result it wasn't a bad weekend, only West Brom won out of the rest of the teams in the bottom half, and 3 points on Wednesday would certainly calm the nerves, and put us almost mid-table, that's how tight it is, one result and you can jump up the league.
