It appears several clubs have gone bust in China, their premier league champs go under just months after winning the title. Could this possibly happen here if the sugar daddies of football walk with their cash.

There are an awful lot of reasons for the China situation and only some are mentioned in the article, the main one is the way the country is governed, you are expected to follow the plan so you go for it exuberantly, but are never given an interpretation of the plan, so it can be altered endlessly without the government being called out, all the while billionaires are kept twitchy by the bureaucrats and held to account at all times unless things are successful and then the government takes the credit.Lowbankclaret wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 5:51 pmIt appears several clubs have gone bust in China, their premier league champs go under just months after winning the title. The Suning case has just become more interesting as the state has just acquired a sizeable shareholding in the group to help it out of it's significant short term debt obligations.

China also has a disastrous demographic, its population is going to shrink by 700 million people over the next 40 years. It’s a country heading for a massive crisis, not just its football.

This gives a wider overview though still seems too sugary in the governments favour

Which is why so many sports are investing in India these days (and why the Chinese are getting fractious with them) and why India itself, is now getting highly controlling of it's populationLowbankclaret wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 6:08 pmChina also has a disastrous demographic, its population is going to shrink by 700 million people over the next 40 years. When it comes to the subject of China, I feel like letting rip. But I won't as I know that it's not allowed or welcome on this site.

May I ask why Lowbank? Is this due to the One child policy they've had the last 20+ years? I've just recently been reading stuff on the policy so I'm interested to know why it's gonna shrink so much. I see now it's allowed 2 kids per family.Lowbankclaret wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 6:08 pmChina also has a disastrous demographic, its population is going to shrink by 700 million people over the next 40 years. I would like to point you to the newsletters of Peter Ziehans.diamondpocket wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 8:08 pmMay I ask why Lowbank? Is this due to the One child policy they've had the last 20+ years? Yes it’s part of the one child policy, also it appears to be a normal part of moving away from farming and to working parents having less kids in general. But yes mainly it’s one child policy.
Thing is now the people who are 20-30 don’t feel wealthy enough to have lots of kids so it become a cascade reduction.
Same is happening in Russia but for different reasons.

Well what a shock. Football clubs in a communist country paying huge wages then going bust. Whoever would have thought it

700 million?! Not sure about that. I believe the one child policy changed about 5 years ago but still people had more than one child before then anyway they just had to pay for it

To have a stable population amount you need a curve as this shows, if you put this over the China one you can see why prediction reduction numbers are so high.
