That's it.

It's best of the rest and a race to the finish now.

Looking the other way and down, it's now a two-way match between Burnley and Fulham to the end of the season and nothing else.

They have twelve matches to better Burnley's results by three.

That's it.

Down to one v. one.

You've obviously never threaded a pass through a crowded defence, Bosscat.

The rest of the teams are immaterial to our target and challenge.

Bosscat has threaded elastic in his underpants, though. That must count for something!

It's hard to compare fixtures like for like, however we can discount Fulham by setting our own target, which is 4 wins from 11 matches.

I honestly don't see Fulham getting to 32 points so 1 more win and a draw would do for me please 🙏

People say it's the bread and butter matches among the teams around us, however our maverick results are probably what defines us as a team worthy of PL status, based on those 'punching above our weight' performances.

It's just that extra spark that has marked us out as a PL team so far.

We cannot afford to second guess Fulham's success or failure, we can only play to our remit.

Bizarrely I get where Pstotto is coming from and I do see the logic. If we see it purely as a match up or race between us and Fulham, with us having a heads start, then all we have to do is stay ahead until the finish (or until Fulham can't win it!) Easy.....(or is it??)

Yes and no.

Yes what you have written is true, but if we 'time trial it' shall we say...

Mmmm. Probably best to leave the "time trial" element out of it and just stick to a straight race tbh. (But a race where we're already ahead at the start because it's like a kind of handicap thing)

Play like today and we will easily get our 4 wins
But again you have to ask why no subs when a last 15mins injection of fresh legs may have swung a win

DC, no worries, we don't have to make a choice.

We can both time trial it AND play 'Keepy-Uppy' with Fulham.

I actually think it was because he didn't want to try to fix something that at the time wasn't broken. Dyche would secretly have been happy with the point and his options from the bench were actually pretty limited tbh. A tiring Cork is better than Stephens imo when the going is very tough and Jay has been hopeless for weeks and doesn't seem fully fit. Not much else you'd throw on from the bench against a top 4 side when you've got the point in your hand.

As we have found recently all fixtures are equal and playing a team at the top can be as easy or difficult as playing a team at the bottom.

That's why the Premier League is unique when compared to the remainder of Europe.

p. s. I hope they get stuffed too :D

According to the Magic Numbers table only Man City, Man Utd and Leicester could not finish bottom and only City are officially safe from relegation.

Head-to-head over 11 games now, we are three results to the good.

Perhaps Stato can be bothered to write the list of the fixtures, side by side.

I'm busy cooking a lamb curry.
