Leeds scored a mere 28 goals in the '96/'97 PL season, but remarkably finished 11th in the table.sandy richardson wrote: ↑Fri Mar 05, 2021 9:45 amWhat is the lowest number of goals a club has scored in a season without being relegated?

Re: lowest number of goals
AC Milan once became champions of Seria A scoring 36 goals in 34 games.
Another AC Milan stat. Paolo Maldini played competitive football against Diego Maradona and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Re: lowest number of goals
It matters not a jot how many goals we score as long as we gain enough points to survive, which we're well on course to do.

Re: lowest number of goals
Could we not have 8 9-0 wins and 18 1-0 wins as a compromise? That would give us 78 points and, with 12 0-0 draws, 90 points would see us in the Champions LeagueVegas Claret wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 12:54 amyep, i'd take 36 1-0 wins as opposed to 15 8-0 wins !

Re: lowest number of goals
As royboy said above, Leeds did only score 28 and finished with 46 points and this is the joint lowest with Huddersfield having scored the same number in 2017/18 and finishing with 37 points.sandy richardson wrote: ↑Fri Mar 05, 2021 9:45 amWhat is the lowest number of goals a club has scored in a season without being relegated?
Manchester City scored 29 in 2006/7 and finished with 42 points and Sunderland also scored 29 in 2001/2 and finished with 40 points.
Last season Crystal Palace scored 31 goals and finished in 14th place with 43 points.
