So who thinks we will win at Goodison
If we play as well as we have and get at Everton ,mark Calvert Lewin and tackle serial winger Richarladson at every opportunity, we can win.

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
Yep we have a chance like in all games
Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
Fulham have Man City, so anything we get will move us further away. I don't think we are good enough to win, a draw will do

I think we can win it for sure. Just need to keep it tight for an hour and watch as their frustration takes hold. Then bang em on the counter.
Easy this footy management lark....

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
Would take a 1-1 right now
Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
I don’t think we’ll win at Goodison, but then again I didn’t think we’d win at arsenal or anfield, what do I know? I am usually wrong!
Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
They're well capable of 'chucking one in' performance wise. No reason at all why we can't get something from this.

Depends if flappy mcflapperson is in goal or not.
If he is then we've every chance of getting something.

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
We're a hard side to predict at the minute.
We're creating good chances, but not taking them. As well as not defending that well.
Which is a little unBurnley like.

Everton have been very inconsistent this season, hopefully we catch them on an off day.

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
We can beat any team in this league bar city
Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
They lost 2-0 at home to both Fulham and Newcastle recently.
Teams they are ‘expected to beat’ have been a weak point this season for them.
Would love a point.

Any result at Goodison is a possibility, because you can never tell which Everton, or which Burnley will turn up.
Hopefully the Everton that played Fulham, and the Burnley that played Leicester.

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
Agree with this. Burnley are so unpredictable in the last couple of months. If the ‘Palace’ Burnley turn up we could quite realistically win. If the ‘WBA’ Burnley show up we’ll get battered. I give up predicting for now but I’d be happy with a draw.Colburn_Claret wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 9:09 amAny result at Goodison is a possibility, because you can never tell which Everton, or which Burnley will turn up.

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
We can. Depends which Burnley or which Everton turn up for that matter.
Calvert-Lewin is always a threat as is Richarlison. Sigurdsson is my main concern. Had two lovely assists in recent games. Keep them three quiet and we're on it and it's possible. I'd take a draw though.

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
Everton are a strange outfit they look to lack leadership and personality. We are the opposite and with a weeks rest we will be all fired up and capable of getting something.
Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
Only if we can keep Calvert-Lewin quiet. Otherwise a draw.

I know Pope cost us goals against Leicester and Arsenal, but you shouldn’t talk about him like that.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 8:47 amDepends if flappy mcflapperson is in goal or not.

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
I certainly wouldn't be unhappy with a point at Goodison
although a win would be fantastic.
Can't see it somehow with Everton pushing for a top four finish.

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
We'll win 2-1 at Goodison, Everton's home form against the bottom sides is terrible, and we can definitely put Pickford and that defence under pressure, DCL will always be a threat, but our centre backs are perfectly capable of handling him.

I don't think we will win as Everton have the bit between their teeth now regarding the being top team on Merseyside. I'd be ecstatic if we did win but just don't see it.

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
One of those teams good at scraping wins against us at home, I'd be delighted with a draw.
Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
Everton do seem a little up and down at times. Personally think they'll miss out on top four but they have improved this season. A point would be excellent. Would really like us to pick up all 3 sooner rather than later but if we keep racking up draws it'll keep us up.
Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
I'd happily take a draw at Goodison but I really do think 3 points are up for grabs at Southampton.

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
With Pickford in the nets we only need to get a couple on target and keep it tight at the back so we should win at a canter. A draw wouldnt be a disaster but if we cant get owt at Goodison we might as well all start getting ready for life in the Championship next year.
Two or three nil victory for us is what im expecting

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
To be fair to Pickford, with the exception of the penalty tonight he has been excellent in the last few games. I hope he throws one in against us because a complete balls up is looming to keep his average up.

I believe we can win every game, we won't but it never stops my belief in what we can achieve.

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
I have predicted another 22 points from the remaining 10 games which includes one point from a draw at Goodison !!
Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
I think we can. Everton have put up their share of poor results to lesser sides. I don’t think we are a lesser side, mind, I just believe they have often underestimate the sides lower than they in the table. I’m also predicting about 22pts in our remaining fixtures. We are a really good side and legitimately we can run with anyone at this point in the season.

Pickford v Pope.....wonder if Mr Southgate will be there. Yeah, course we will win.
Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
Need to keep sticking the ball in from corners and free kicks right right On top of Pickford, but of pace and decent height and rough him up.We can definately get something

We can certainly get something............on a good day...
Just hope it’s not one of those where we get battered for the last 15 minutes.............it’s an absolute nightmare just watching it on the magic lantern............can’t stand it!

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
They have some real quality and all it usually takes to beat us is one goal. So it will probably come down to how wasteful they are on the day and how well we block and play the percentage game.

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
We need to avoid conceding a goal in the first ten minutes. To me this has been our biggest problem this season which, based on the last 4/5 seasons, is not like us at all

My gut feel is that SD has told us to "get at" teams from the off. It seems to have been a pattern that we start brightly but concede early - generally from break away goals. Away at Everton, I'd be more than happy letting them have the ball and try to break us down for a while.
Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
Probably start slow, go 1 down, chase the game and succumb to a routine 2-0 defeat.
We've not failed too well in games after a nice week off and extra down days.id bite your hand iff for a draw
Still think the Southampton and the Newcastle games will be the biggies where the relegation pendulum will swing

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
To be honest I'd be delighted with a point. I agree that if we're getting battered in the last 15 mins it's an anxious time. My heart was racing for the last 10mins against Arsenal, I really don't want that again. Plenty of confidence from all our lads and we've a really good opportunity to get something.

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
I agree. Over the last few seasons we have nullified many teams for 45 minutes then grown into the game in the second half. it is a tactic that has served us well ( Fergie started it) and I don't understand why silly goals are now been given away earlyNewClaret wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 10:06 amAbsolutely.

WHU, Spurs, arsenal to name a few and they were all avoidable

Re: So who thinks we will win at Goodison
Worth bumping this thread in light of yesterday's events.
We should have learnt by now never to doubt this Burnley team, well unless we're facing Man City obviously.
My only gripe is why couldn't this have been a Super6 game, I'd have got 5 points towards my total, but that small gripe apart, yet another great BFC performance and result away to one of the big boys, and sadly for the rest of the league we'll still be around to do the same next season, no matter how much all the opposition fans hate us and our style of play, they'll have to tolerate us for a bit longer yet.
