9th March

Post by NottsClaret » Tue Mar 09, 2021 12:44 pm

I remember this date better than the wife and kids' birthdays.

Happy Beat The B*****ds Day, everyone.

Bit emosh watching that. Those were the days, what a noise.

These are the games we live for.

Every time I see this video I still expect Rhodes to score that gift of a chance in the second half.

That brought the memories flooding back
I knew there was a reason that I liked Shackell

I’d forgot that Sam “scored” first

I’m still not convinced he was offside

and then blow a sigh of relief that he hasn't.

Awesome day. Shackell had his critics after he left but you can't argue with two derby day goals. Also, what a contribution from Ross Wallace that day.

I knew today's date had a meaning, great to finally see us beat that mob again, even if it was on the telly.

And how long ago did they taste success against us now, I've no idea it's been that many days I've lost count, but it must be at least 10 years from memory.

What made it even sweeter was the fact we came from behind to triumph, that always adds to the enjoyment.

Just had a check of that and I think it was 28th March 2010. So, almost 11 years and counting!
