Season Ticket Question
Re: Season Ticket Question
All done can't say it was easy,Mrs wasn't linked for some strange reason, once linked had a short wait then all went OK,just need to get back on now
Re: Season Ticket Question
To be fair they were very vague about how long the extended period would last, I think they used the term 'foreseeable future'.

Re: Season Ticket Question
i wouldnt call an extra month a short period.as i have already said, i was told by the club they remained on sale until early may.people are simply refusing to accept the facts as they were because, it doesnt suit their argument.
everyone had a significant extension of the renewal period if required , you have quoted the club message yourself.
How much longer did they want?
Re: Season Ticket Question
It's relevant when some are saying the earlybird was cut off two weeks before the 31st march, which it clearly wasnt

Re: Season Ticket Question
just renewed for 4 of us, myself, wife and two children, no problem at all online, hopefully we'll get on the Liverpool game in May as well
Re: Season Ticket Question
Don't know just when the extended period ended and can't find any reference to it on the club website. That seems to be one of the issues that some people have, that the extended period closed without any notice.brownside192 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 1:44 pmi wouldnt call an extra month a short period.as i have already said, i was told by the club they remained on sale until early may.people are simply refusing to accept the facts as they were because, it doesnt suit their argument.

Re: Season Ticket Question
Although some people are saying that they couldn't renew shortly prior to 31st Match. Now whether that was down to a glitch in the system or that they'd been temporarily taken off sale, we'll probably never know. However, the extended period does seem to have been curtailed without any notice, as I can't find anything about it on the club website.

Re: Season Ticket Question
In my case, I was waiting for the refund for 2019/20 to be processed onto my teamcard, to use against the renewal of my next ST as per the clubs instructions at the time.brownside192 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 1:44 pmi wouldnt call an extra month a short period.as i have already said, i was told by the club they remained on sale until early may.people are simply refusing to accept the facts as they were because, it doesnt suit their argument.

They then took them off sale, when the refund was on my teamcard.
Go figure.

Re: Season Ticket Question
probably about the same time as when people started demanding refunds, because watching football this season was looking very unlikely, as time went on.
Re: Season Ticket Question
Had they announced a refund last march?

Re: Season Ticket Question
I'm not desperate to give anyone money until I have to, which originally was March 31st at the latest. On the 24th the club said 'the earlybird deadline for 2020/2021 frozen prices will now be extended beyond the end date of 31st March, and will remain open for the foreseeable future'. As a result I relaxed in the knowledge the club would stick to their promise.brownside192 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 2:29 pmoh sorry , i was under the impression you were desperate to renew in March, dont think refunds were discussed until may/june??
Silly me.
Now, if they had said 'will remain open for an indeterminate time at which shall end without warning' I might have been a little more on my toes.

Re: Season Ticket Question
When the club's official position was "wait and see and we will make announcements in due course", it isn't a valid criticism that people waited to for the club's announcements.
The club extended the early bird period indefinitely and have never made an announcement as to when people needed to pay for their tickets for the early bird period. If they wanted to say "buy now for the early bird period because we are closing the window" then at least we would have had the choice.

Re: Season Ticket Question
I suppose that is just a failure of memory. Having been told by the club that they had no idea when or whether we would be able to attend and the early bird window was extended indefinitely while everyone waited to see what was happening, it would be easy to misremember that as "tickets not being on sale". It's an accurate point, but its relevance is really limited to whether it is legal for the club to raise the prices for early bird customers rather than whether it's the right thing to do.
Re: Season Ticket Question
the question is this - has anyone tweeted Alan Pace yet?
Re: Season Ticket Question
Possibly memories in relation to specific dates are a little vague but the bottom line is that the extended period was curtailed without any notice seemingly being given by the club. I say seemingly, as there's certainly nothing on the club website closing the extension.

I do wonder what people were waiting for before they renewed in this extended period.

Re: Season Ticket Question
The price, for one thing. The date the season would start. The date on which the window would close. The conditions of attendance - would it be masks all round, would it be sitting 6 feet apart, and so on. Whether we could attend every match. News from the club on how they were selling tickets. That sort of thing.
We didn't know, last May, that the club was offering season tickets that would give us nothing in 2020-21 but automatic tickets in 2021-22. If anyone had told us, we would have been able to make an informed decision.
Re: Season Ticket Question
So given that information never came as the ground never opened they’d never have renewed their season ticket.dsr wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 3:59 pmThe price, for one thing. I have asked for my email correspondence with the ticket office to be forwarded to him. After all, it’s not the ticket office staff who make the decisions - they just give the ‘party line’. Not their fault.

Re: Season Ticket Question
Exactly that, dsr. We are both over 70 and we’re shielding at that time, so were waiting to know about all those things. If the Club had said ‘we don’t know the answers, but we are now going to close the Early Bird period on....., then we could have made a decision.dsr wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 3:59 pmThe price, for one thing. I was waiting to see what arrangements they might make for attending matches, since we were shielding at the time. If they didn’t know, they could have said that before they closed the window. We could have them decided what to do I’m not in the habit of paying by DD and I don’t pay for things up front unless I know what I’m buying.

Re: Season Ticket Question
if you were to get on the Liverpool game in May where would the payment for that game come from, i.e. separate payment? Or have I missed something.sykeclaret wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 2:02 pmjust renewed for 4 of us, myself, wife and two children, no problem at all online, hopefully we'll get on the Liverpool game in May as well

Re: Season Ticket Question
I think the club explained this with all the other info... Mainly nothing decided, but bearing in mind I used up all my credit on the renewal, I would guess a separate payment.

Re: Season Ticket Question
"The Board of Directors" is a single legal entity that continues to exist, like Trigger's broom and the Headsman's axe, when all its constituent parts are replaced. In other words, when a company comes into new ownership, even if every single director is replaced, the company is still bound by contracts made by the previous board. (And with promises which aren't legally binding, they are still morally bound by the promises of the previous board.)Steve-Harpers-perm wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 4:31 pmWas the decision not made by the previous board of directors?

Re: Season Ticket Question
It’s showing I have balance of £393 and an “available amount” of £1105.01
I’m assuming it’s because I have all the accounts linked to me and I just enter the £393 amount in mine and “select this reward” for the others?

Re: Season Ticket Question
Ftao grumps. I really did try to pay for my season ticket after 23/3/20 and was unable to do so. The thread you refer to is mainly about DD freezing etc etc. I prefer to pay up front so I have as little as possible going out each month and it is easier that way for me to budget. I obviously cannot pay for my ticket until towards the end of May and I have to just accept that.

Obviously. A board can ignore its own promises without changing its composition - they don't have to keep their customers happy if they don't want to!Brucefanclaret wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 5:17 pmWhich can be overturned, unless the Boards I have been a member of have acted illegally.
I'm still worried about how much they are going to increase it by. No mention of an early bird price - will they take the £580 (Bob Lord) from last time and increase that?

Re: Season Ticket Question
For anyone struggling with renewing online, I found that if you cant get the email and password to link then try your clarets number and password to see if that works.
If that doesn't work, forgot the password option but do the forgot password on your clarets number and not your email address. It appears I had 2 email addresses registered which was were different on each account. This was why the system couldn't link the 2.

Re: Season Ticket Question
Just renewed, like seemingly all sets of supposedly step by step instructions there are one or two things missing, for example if anyone is yet to apply for the free ticket, then you need to proceed to check out where you will then get the option to use the "on account" button underneath the visa cards option, you then have to put the value of your season ticket in the apply box before selecting the apply button.
It was fine in truth but as ever it should be easier, but that is modern on line life for you.

Re: Season Ticket Question
I have linked my accounts no problem there, however in the account section it's showing that I have sod all credit despite fully paying my DD for last season so consequently I assume I cannot renew ?
I bought my first season ticket as a kid at a shop on Coal Clough Lane who acted as agents for the club oh joyous simpler times .

Re: Season Ticket Question
So, I’ve gone onto my account. I have paid for my season ticket by DD. I’m in Longside upper and my account says my Balance is £455.00....is this correct for that seat as I cannot remember? There is no option to purchase season ticket with the balance...only refund to card. Jeez, it shouldn’t be so hard to part with money! Can anyone help please?
Re: Season Ticket Question
Yes £455 is correct, follow the instructions from the official site or what Leisure linked on page 1 about 10 posts down, also see my post 3 up to follow the "on account" option.

Re: Season Ticket Question
Obviously they didn’t know because these are unprecedented circumstances. Needless to say that sales of season tickets for the 20/21 season were rightly stopped, as it became clear there wasn’t a product to offer. Would you have purchased a ticket if they had confirmed that the early bird window was to close by the end of June, for example?Brucefanclaret wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 4:26 pmI was waiting to see what arrangements they might make for attending matches, since we were shielding at the time. What a 20/21 season ticket never promised at the point of purchase was a price freeze for the 21/22 season. Similarly there is nothing in the terms of my ST to state that I will get priority to purchase a ticket to the FA Cup Final should Burnley get there. But I would expect that to be the case.

Re: Season Ticket Question
Am I right in thinking that if we have paid in full by direct debit for the 20/21 season then we will automatically be renewed for the 21/22 season in our same seat.?
