well the most deluded here are Arsenal and spurs from the UK contingent.

If they are allowed to play in the domestic leagues then City, Chelsea, United, Liverpool will just buy a second team that will win the Premier League. Arsenal and Tottenham wont have the cash so they will fail in the PL and the Super League. The money boys will take away their relegation immunity and they will have to get out of the Championship to have a half decent club

If there are excluded from the domestic leagues they will get kicked out of the Super League for always finishing near last... and then have to plead to join the National League.

lets make it easier and just have United playing Barcelona every week.

These big boys leagues will be the start of Big boys arguments none of the elite 12 will be immune. And their fans will lose interest because there is only one trophy to share amongst themselves

The five teams that "qualify" to the league each year will be the bottom teams. It's structured so that they get way less money than the permanent members.

I think they’re seeing this as a messy divorce. They’re sick of the wife, she’s put weight on, her mates are boring and her job isn’t as good as yours so you can’t get a bigger house.

You’ve got an offer on the table from a gorgeous lass a few years younger who has Daddy’s money in her bank account and is somehow infatuated with you (despite you being Arsenal).

You know it’s going to be a messy divorce. The kids will be an issue, so will your mortgage - the in laws are a noisy bunch too, and absolutely no doubt your ‘good’ name will be dragged through the dirt on social media by her mates. You know what you want though, and you’ve come this far - just see it through. The outrage will die down after a few months and then the life you wanted is yours.

I genuinely believe the likes of the Glazers, Abramovich, FSG, Kroenke etc see it as simply as that.

All I'll say is the fans of the club I was at today are scared to death their club quite literally wrote it's own epitaph and they were all quite clear it was THEIR owners who'd be to blame. Nobody else.

It’s time to remind people that the Premier League have ridden over supporters interests, switching matches at the drop of a hat, 8pm Monday kick-offs with no trains back afterwards for supporters, they suggested the 39th game and the domestic cups have been diminished to enhance te premier league.

Not unduly no, I just wish they go if they're going, but they don't want to leave their domestic leagues do they, what they want is to have this ESL as an addition to their income, but at the same time they still expect to compete in La Liga, PL, Serie A, because they ultimately know that there's a great risk of their brand shiny new venture not faring as well as they might hope, and if and when it all goes pear-shaped they'll need a safety net which those domestic leagues offer.

It's simple really for me if they're so confident in their product then disappear into the ether and never return, yes the PL and others might take a short-term hit, but there will still be a global interest even without the big six, and it's possible that a more competitive league will generate more excitement.

I’ve been wishing the big six would clear off for years now and leave us with a more honest, cleaner, fairer, and more exiting competition.

I’d be glad to see the back of them. I had nothing at all against the big clubs but I find what they’ve done disgraceful.

Government were pretty clear earlier that this will not be tolerated, but wish they’d gone further and announced they’d close them down before allowing them to play in an ESL.

Players wages will crash. It needs to happen. Football can’t go on as it is with idiots like UEFA ruining the game. It’s gone too far to reverse the money problem. So kick them out and let the clubs with all the worldwide fans go and have their boring league and we’ll go back to how it used to be. What’s the alternative. The PL keep changing things in their favour. Today UEFA did the same.

The BoE is independent of government so if it offers renewals/extentions to others it would be difficult to stop them doingit to those clubs if the criteria is met - the clubs could raise the funds from other sources , though not as cheaply
