ARTICLE: The town celebrates promotion

Two days after the win against Sunderland in 1973 the town was still celebrating. We had even received a letter of congratulations from Billy Bancroft who was, I believe, the first to have sweeping duties on the Longside according to a well known song.

I really would like to but I only have the material for the first few games so will be dependent on the library opening and me feeling safe going there.
