WTF! I thought we’d get hammered, we’ve done well and united are fortunate to be winning.

I don’t expect to see Vydra as it stands after Arsenal’s late goal I think SD will be willing to take the point.

True. Results against the top 6 don’t define our season. It’s the results against the bottom half where we need to pick our points up.Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 5:45 pmChances are we play well and lose against teams like united 9 times out of 10

Are you listening to radio Lancashire and not watching the game? We’ve been good beaten by a deflection and a side a 2nd in the league.

Typical Utd. How often do they win with deflected goals.
That really is bad luck, especially for Cork, who's been very good today.

I’m sure we should’ve had a free kick on the edge of the box there before they broke away.

Re: Matchday thread
What a run from Vyds, just before the goal. It makes you wonder how he would have scared Utd had he been on a lot earlier.
Re: Matchday thread
Well played and an unfortunate scoreline
Re: Matchday thread
Played well today, didn’t deserve to lose that.

We may have lost but put up a huge effort. Think 2-1 would have been a more realistic result

Vydra should have been introduced around the 70th minute
Re: Matchday thread
I’m pleased enough with that performance. Play like that through to the end of the season and we will pick up a few more points, here and there.

Deserved a point.
A good performance in our final ever league game against this awful club. I hope Van Der Beek and Pogba recover from the horrific injuries that they suffered.

Re: Matchday thread
With Arsenal scoring, this was a bit of a free hit for me. Man U are in great form, second in the table and we were very unfortunate not to get a point.
We're playing well enough to pick up points, so they'll come.

It's frustrating how we can hold up against the best pretty well but throw away games, or don't turn up when it matters.

I can see that the Fulham away game is looming larger and larger in terms of importance.
Fancy Fulham to beat Southampton and Newcastle, so the game with us is now critical

We played OK but in the end it was fairly comfortable for United.

Re: Matchday thread
How people can moan after that performance is beyond me, we pushed Utd all the way, and but for some bad fortune could have easily come away with a point, play like that at Wolves and we'll win.
No coincidence Cork was back in the fold today, Wood was immense, and BPF did everything asked of him.
I'm just gutted we couldn't see the last few minutes out, but that's the quality Utd possess, and they often score late.
Plenty of positives to take from that display and we didn't look like a team battling the drop far from it.

Great effort by the lads. Still think woods goal should have stood. Maybe I’d have given vydra a few minutes more.
The super power super league W..,,,s knew they had been in a game. Lady Luck seems to have deserted us at the moment.

The Wolves game is the critical one - win that and we’re home
Re: Matchday thread
Scoring the second goal five minutes from time is far from comfortable.

Re: Matchday thread
Damn, bit of a harsh scoreline that and not really reflective of how well we played against an in-form side.
Table looking only slightly worse than it did this morning but still better than it did at about 3pm.

Re: Matchday thread
Agreed that is definitely a game we should be looking at getting 3 points from, Wolves are not the force they were last season, and we've already beaten them this term, so it certainly isn't a fixture we should fear.SalisburyClaret wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 6:02 pmThe Wolves game is the critical one - win that and we’re home
Re: Matchday thread
Should’ve been a free hit but all I can think of is last week. Truth is a 5-0 loss but a result against Newcastle would have us in a better position than now. Ah well.
