Seven years ago today...
Let us remember, in this, a week where greed has tried to destroy everything that our game is about, that our club continues to do us proud.
We are lucky to have Burnley. Even though we find ourselves at the top table, most Burnley fans feel that their club is truly special, perhaps more do than those fans of the big six.
Can’t wait to see my team again, whatever division they’re in. I’d like to think though, that the next time that does happen, that Sean Dyche will still be at the helm, because that man has been an incredible fit for our proud football club.

That strike partnership was brilliant. Probably the best football a Dyche Burnley side has played. They only one close was the first six months of the 7th finish with Defour in.

What a great day that was.
Remember watching a game in the 110 Club before the match that meant a win would secure promotion for us.
Wigan were actually in fine form at the time and really came at us. It was a marvellous performance to cap an unbelievable season.

Watching it again, there's absolutely nothing Wigan could do to stop that goal, one touch, pass and move, great goal.Taffy on the wing wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 4:43 pmAshley Barnes' goal is still my all time favorite!

That 2-0 win over Wigan was the ultimate performance!Rowls wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 3:25 pmWhat a great day that was.

I remember Wigan could pass very well. There was one move where they flicked the ball from player to player at great pace, from left to right wing. Each player swiftly moving the ball on, as a Burnley player closed him down.
When it got to the last man, he was surrounded and we came away with the ball. That energy and total team commitment was invincible, in the Championship and damn good in the Prem.

What a day and what a performance. We were fantastic that day and all season. So exciting to watch.
Isnt that also the only time ever that we have beaten Wigan? I’m sure we have an abysmal record against them.

We beat them at Christmas under Cotterill when Blake downed tools because he wanted to join them, he left to join Birmingham slightly after.cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 8:39 pmWhat a day and what a performance. We were fantastic that day and all season. So exciting to watch.

Ashley Barnes and Michael Kightly sealed our second promotion to the Premier League; our first under Dyche, in a season where VIngs and the team behind them, served up some of the most brilliant pressing snd attacking football that I have seen at Turf Moor. That side were a joy!
