Phil Malley
Phil's nephew made his debut for Middlesbrough the other night. Better debut than mine said Phil. Look at one of the comments underneath

Re: Phil Malley
He did really well. Accurate passing though he was against 10 men for two thirds of the game. Didn't catch how old he is.

Re: Phil Malley
He played against our u23s for Middlesbrough up at Bishop Auckland last season. I had a chat with his dad who is, of course, Phil’s brother.
He was 21 last month.

Re: Phil Malley
Good lad is Phil. Very funny. Played with his lad as kids and his dad helped out with our team and again when we played for another team together.
Good luck to his nephew.

Stood next to Phil’s brother on Hartlepool open end terraces a few years ago, north east accent had me worried since I incorrectly suspected he was a local monkey-hanger looking for bother.

Saw Phil Malley in Blackburn a couple of years ago at a Stiff Little Fingers gig. Had a quick chat with him, nice fella i thought.

Re: Phil Malley
Phil is a proper sound and nice bloke. He laughs at himself. I totally respect the fact that, despite some of our fans having a view of him because he was part of our worst ever team, he made it to a level most of us can only dream of. I played football with him in the local leagues for a few years in the late 90’s and he obviously stood out at that level. I think his son, Jordan, was a goalkeeper at Burnley United at one point.
He’s a Newcastle fan first, and rightly so, and a Claret a close second.

Yep Jordan was a half decent keeper. Even better at camera saves mindClaretforever wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 9:28 pmPhil is a proper sound and nice bloke. He laughs at himself.
