Who is this female commentator on BT? Some of the most biased commentary I have ever heard.

Re: Burnley v Leeds - Match Day Thread
Taylor in typical Taylor fashion almost gets caught out but makes an excellent last ditch tackle.
They should have scored then.. come on Burnley get a grip.

Women commentator is Lucy Ward - She spent most of her senior career with Leeds United and was also head of education and welfare at the boys academy for Leeds United
Clearly unbiased and a great choice for independent summariser

I’m assuming they thought it would “balance” having Crouch & Rachel B-F in the “studio”SalisburyClaret wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 1:03 pmWomen commentator is Lucy Ward - She spent most of her senior career with Leeds United and was also head of education and welfare at the boys academy for Leeds United

Probably right! But not sure we need the expertise of any of them, what’s wrong with just plain commentary?Burnley Ace wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 1:07 pmShe’s still better than any of the Sky summarisers we normally get!!

Typical us. Everyone backs off and covers no one makes a tackle. All the time in the world to pick out the corner.

Wow….it’s to be hoped that Pope stays.
Re: Burnley v Leeds - Match Day Thread
Why do we always give players a free run? Nobody near him.
Re: Burnley v Leeds - Match Day Thread
Big hole in the middle of the park/central midfield area for the goal.
Re: Burnley v Leeds - Match Day Thread
Acres of space and no challenges. Look like we’ve lost interest. I know I had with this game before the goal.
Re: Burnley v Leeds - Match Day Thread
Bad defending backing off poor effort by the keeper = a goal
Re: Burnley v Leeds - Match Day Thread
How? Tarkowski fouled Bamford in the build up and he let it go...

Just before half time again.
Would be interesting to see stats for how often we concede 5 mins either side of half-time

The sooner we sell Tarks and Dwight the better.
They are both a liability.

Re: Burnley v Leeds - Match Day Thread
Bad time to concede right on HT, can't say they don't deserve it though, but we shouldn't be allowing him to run all that distance without making a tackle, even foul him and take the yellow if you need to. Great finish by the lad though.

Was there a slight deflection off Tarks calf that just put a bit of spin on?

Re: Burnley v Leeds - Match Day Thread
Where the f.ckwas our midfield? They ran from inside their own half without a hint of a challenge. Westy and the rest were trotting back yards behind. Against teams like Leeds you need to protect the defence.

I don't see it, been an even nothing game, certainly wouldn't say the referee has played any role really.superdimitri wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 1:18 pmHe's missed our players getting fouled all game yet the moment a Leeds player falls over it's a free kick.

Re: Burnley v Leeds - Match Day Thread
I don’t think the players have done much wrong. Tactically we’ve been awful. McNeil has caused problems centrally, but we’ve kept him on the wing and hoofed it forward time after time when their defenders are coping easily in the air. Brownhill isn’t a winger so there’s zero threat from the right. It’s just so easy for Leeds.
Re: Burnley v Leeds - Match Day Thread
Poor free kick....just roll it across the box no one there, its a free hit from the edge of the box

Good finish to be fair. 9 times out of 10 he would not have scored from there!

Yes let's flog our 2 best players, selling both of them will mean we'll soon be playing in the Championship.
Glad to see the overreaction on here is alive and well

Re: Burnley v Leeds - Match Day Thread
Summer transfer window a quality midfielder must be our 1st call. Jack Cork is getting long in the tooth and Brownhill doesn't posses enough quality on the ball.
