3,500 Attendance Question
No cheating. But can you name the last home competitive game which had a 3,500 attendance or less?

QPR was one I thought about but I’m not sure it was that low without looking it up.

Re: 3,500 Attendance Question
Burnley v Luton 2007 at the end of the destroyers 18 game run of fruitless and depressing cotterball. If more than 3.5k idiots were still willing to watch that dross then I would be very shocked

Re: 3,500 Attendance Question
Can only think it could have an Auto Windscreens game and the last time we played at home in that competition was 98/99.

Re: 3,500 Attendance Question
If it is later than that then looking at our opponents in the league cup late 90s early 2000s possibly Rushden and Diamonds or Hartlepool. Will go for Rushden & Diamonds as they probably brought no more than 15

Re: 3,500 Attendance Question
It's not Rushden & Diamonds but you're right with Hartlepool, League Cup 1st Round 1st Leg in 2000 had an attendance of 3,319.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Tue May 18, 2021 9:14 amIf it is later than that then looking at our opponents in the league cup late 90s early 2000s possibly Rushden and Diamonds or Hartlepool. Re: 3,500 Attendance Question
I thought it was Plymouth at the end of a 19 game winless run. Mcveigh scored a couple I think.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 10:23 pmBurnley v Luton 2007 at the end of the destroyers 18 game run of fruitless and depressing cotterball. Re: 3,500 Attendance Question
Yes Plymouth ended it and Luton was at the lowest ebb. You make a good point though because after the Luton game even less should have bothered with the Plymouth matchgandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Tue May 18, 2021 9:35 amI thought it was Plymouth at the end of a 19 game winless run. Re: 3,500 Attendance Question
Seem to recall a grim defeat in the early rounds of the league cup under Cotterill with the Turf pretty much empty. Anyone? Apologies if it's already been mentioned.
