Homework about what? should they have run a vote on the colour to use on the external walls and fencing. I imagine the black will be a better background for the player plaques that are going to be re-hung. Why don't we just let these guys run the club without examining every move in minute detail. If it was something major they had disrupted then fine lets protest, but paintwork......
They should have realised if you marry into the clarets family you get at 10.000 naggers

Honestly couldn't give a s**t what colour they paint some walls near the ground. There's genuinely quite a few things to be concerned about with the club at the moment, a dark grey wall isn't one of them.

What a ridiculous comment and sums this thread up.

Fwiw I think it looks great and as above while claret and blue is our colour. Black in this case looks much cleaner and more modern and timeless.
Hang on, hang on - it can be modern, or it can be timeless, but surely it can't be both?

Welcome t’t’Turf
If you think about it, when you actually say it it’s not t’t’Turf, it’s are you going down Turf, the t’ is merely implied, a linguist probably has a name for it, like glotal stop or something. If you were describing your new duvet made from feathers and grass, you would say, “my quilt’s filled with a down turf combination”, in a completely different way.

I have an Accy accent but still pronounce it as Turf "More". But if I was to say Saddleworth I pronounce it "moo-er". Only noticed it recently.

I'd imagine they're waiting to find a new sponsor for the stand before investing in new signage

Presumably they’re giving anyone called James Hargreaves first dibs before they take the old signs down.

We shouldn't spend a single unnecessary penny on the CFS since it will clearly be replaced sooner rather than later.

Being a crusty OAP I am well impressed with the changes that are dragging the Club into the 21st Century. The colour scheme is definitely 'on trend' and looks excellent. The digital advertising on the corner really caught my eye early, especially when it was advertising 'ELVIS LIVE AT THE TURF'. I thought 'These Yanks are miracle makers' until I realised it was just a tribute act booked for the Turf Hotel. I got into the ground to find Lennon had been resurrected which played havoc with my thought process

Why do people always dislike change and judge things that aren’t finished?
It’s really soul destroying when you are trying the create something new.

It looks hideous in the photo's. maybe it looks better close up, but I somehow doubt it, Yellow always comes across as garish to me, far too bright.

Crest would look good but reckon it be too tricky to paint it on a wall. Think even Banksy would struggle with artwork as technical as that

Yes definitely, looks mint.
FWIW other than the crazy colouring around the entrances the place looks miles better. Gutted I can,'t be there on Saturday but hoping if the electronic boards the ground will look miles better again.
