Strange choice of game when there are no Prem or Championship games next week

Agreed but not disappointed. Helps the lower league clubs get more money from the TV revenue, so has to be a good thing?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 12:54 pmStrange choice of game when there are no Prem or Championship games next week

I'd rather watch Burton v Cheltenham than Brighton v Watford

Re: Burton v Cheltenham
Cheltenham played at Fleetwood last Saturday, at Gillingham on Tuesday and tonight at Burton.
The EFL will say "Yes, but we didn't know the League Cup draw when we published our fixtures".
And yes, we know why Cheltenham are playing on a Friday night but quite honestly I find it ridiculous.

Do Cheltenham still come to Gawthorpe when playing a game round the north west?

Going swimmingly for Duffer's boys so far, 1-0 to the good with about an hour played.
Meanwhile our LC opponents Rochdale are a goal down at home to Colchester.in League 2, and an OG to boot.

Quite impressed with Cheltenham this evening. They look a good side at that level which is fantastic given they’ve just come up and will have a very small budget. They can play as well, number 16 and 11 in midfield look good.
Duff really has done a great job there.
