He's made some really poor decisions this season already that have cost us points.

Have to agree, Dyche's arrogance is costing us games, how long will Pace put up with this garbage team selection tactics and substitutions.

Feel for the lads tonight as we were well well on top. Just needed that guidance from the side and we don’t get it….. again

Re: Lennon not Maxwel
Completely agree....I still cant understand why Lennon was re-signed and so far I understand it even less he looks(apart from the beard) and plays like I would expect a 14 year old thrown in at the last minute to play. Cornet if he is to be a success needs game time, there was nothing to lose bringing him onWalkerpool wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 9:34 pmWhy would you bring Lennon on and not Maxwel ffs Dyche needs to go honestly I'm sick to death.

Dyche didn`t have a white flag to wave so he sent Lennon on, did FA last time he was here, did FA tonight while we have our record signing sat on his arse, maybe Dyche should pull his head from up his arse and realise how predictable we really are.

Re: Lennon not Maxwel
Did Dyche honestly believe Aaron Lennon would provide the catalyst to get Burnley back in the match?
Did Lennon even touch the ball after coming on?
He's certainly no Andros Townsend who was available on a Free. Demarai Gray a snip at £1.7M.

Is that same Townsend which word on this summer's transfer thread said was too old/slow/past it to be worth trying to sign? At least we got Lennon.

Bringing Lennon on effectively took us down to ten men, didn't see him touch the ball, Cornet must be wondering WTF is going on.

Somewhat surprised that at 3-1 down and Everton giving us a mauling that it took quite a few more minutes before movement in the bench. The game was crying out for the introduction of Vydra much earlier.

Re: Lennon not Maxwel
Tactics all over the place at 1-0 we needed Vids on for Barnes .Cornet on for Westwood and actually go for the kill
Sitting back and watching Everton win a match that we should have taken all three points is totally unacceptable

That’s the one , but Lennon can see out a game , as was evident tonight, only problem was we were 3-1 downAfloatinClaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 9:57 pmIs that same Townsend which word on this summer's transfer thread said was too old/slow/past it to be worth trying to sign? At least we got Lennon.

Suspect he was only on the bench to get a feel of the squad.
As for Lennon though, should be nowhere near this level.

The game was crying out for Vydra from the start to be honest, and that's not through hindsight.

Barnes needs a rest from the lineup, Vydra needs to start next game as a 10 in a new formation such as 4-4-1-1 or 4-5-1
We need to change things up desperately, learn some new formations!

Re: Lennon not Maxwel
I’m a huge Dyche loyalist but that was the most disgraceful game management I’ve ever witnessed . Not so much Cornet but why of why didn’t he break play at -2-1 and bring on Jay/Vydra ? Yet waits until 70+ 3-1 down and brings on Lennon then 5 mins for JR . Appalling
Re: Lennon not Maxwel
Tactics all over the place, the solution to which is to swap a striker for a striker and a central midfielder (the better one of the two) for a right winger / left back?Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 9:59 pmTactics all over the place at 1-0 we needed Vids on for Barnes .Cornet on for Westwood and actually go for the kill

The lack of subs and selection when they finally did happen was a bit baffling tonight. Again.

Re: Lennon not Maxwel
There was absolutely no way that Cornet was going to be brought on tonight at 3 - 1 down. That is a shame tbh because it would have given him a brief insight into the team ready for Arsenal. I’m not sure he will start against Arsenal but should do if fit. I’m not convinced it will happen though.

That’s true both obtainable but Townsend wouldn’t accept what CPFC offered him do you think we would have gone higher than them in wages & Evertons.kentonclaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 9:56 pmDid Dyche honestly believe Aaron Lennon would provide the catalyst to get Burnley back in the match?

Perhaps a better way to judge will be at the end of this season and compare the number of goals and assists from both players to see which provided the better value for money. Lennon will still be receiving a fairly hefty wage but if there is no end product?

I agree, Lennons not the answer never as been to be fair. taking a gamble on a young L1 or a L2 lad would have been more preferable.kentonclaret wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 12:03 amPerhaps a better way to judge will be at the end of this season and compare the number of goals and assists from both players to see which provided the better value for money.
