Sponsors
Just a quick thought / question.
I believe Boohoo is a rather large employer in the Burnley area. Does anyone know if the club as ever approached the company to be one of it's sponsor's. Some of the figures you see on various websites is mind blowing ref turnover etc. Not sure on profit level. But you would think they would be worth approaching?

Re: Sponsors
I imagine they, along with Hut Group will have been approached, certainly with our new harder-nosed commercial dept, however for now, the answer is on the front of our shirts.Yorkshirelad wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 11:46 amJust a quick thought / question.

Re: Sponsors
They've been sponsors for some time - always lots of advertising in the programme
Re: Sponsors
I would have thought someone at the club will have made an approach, if not then they should have done. Good shout Yorkshirelad.

People don't half make the leap and assume that just because a firm may have a fair whack of money, that they have any interest in chucking it at BFC

I can imagine the stick we'd get from other fans with that on the front of the shirt

Re: Sponsors
Looks like the cricket club pitched a better offer/deal. Maybe Alan and his mates need to up their game!! (Or draft Blakey onto the board!! )
Re: Sponsors
I don’t know if they’ve improved, but they certainly used to appear to have a pretty poor reputation as employers.

Re: Sponsors
My original post was listed as a thought / question I'm not saying they should or shouldn't sponsor the club but they are a rather large company in the Burnley area so may have some funds they would be prepared to invest. I understand about the reports of poor worker conditions etc. But lots of clubs are prepared to accept sponsorship from betting firms and look at the damage they do to people's lives. I know this could be changing but for a long time no one as bothered about the moral high ground there.ŽižkovClaret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 11:56 amPeople don't half make the leap and assume that just because a firm may have a fair whack of money, that they have any interest in chucking it at BFC
The club may have decided not to ask due to this, I don't know.

Re: Sponsors
We'd do well to get someone to sponsor us for 1/3 of what we get from SpreadEX. Luckily shirts now have sleeve slots they can auction off too (Astropay in our case) so at least there's that.

Re: Sponsors
