Be interesting to see how fast we sell these with it being a rather low allocation but can’t blame the club for taking it.

We might not even sell 1500 for this one.1989_claret wrote: ↑Fri Oct 01, 2021 4:37 pmBe interesting to see how fast we sell these with it being a rather low allocation but can’t blame the club for taking it.

Not a cat in hells chance, it’s the one game in the calendar I dread more than any other. It’s like year 7 playing year 11

Took over a thousand to Leicester who all seemed in great spirits. Cornet starting lifted everyone.
A win against Norwich and it will sell out quickly.

Re: 2021/22: Manchester City v Burnley – Ticket Information
Taking a 1500 allocation for City away should be a massive wake up call that the club needs to do more to encourage away support.
Granted it’s normally a great day out, spoiled by 90 mins of football

Re: 2021/22: Manchester City v Burnley – Ticket Information
Don't disagree with you abd based on our followings at Liverpool and Everton, 1500 may be more than enough.
Re: 2021/22: Manchester City v Burnley – Ticket Information
Not sure what the club can realistically do? Signing Cornet is a start, and if our style of play and results improve a bit I'm sure our away followings will as well.
We'd have taken a lot more to Liverpool and Everton if they weren't on TV.

No chance there was 1k, also the allocation available is 3k and we took the lowest allocation possible.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 1:29 pmReally??

I got my tickets on the Wednesday and the girl in the ticket office said we had sold 960.PadihamThickNeck wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 1:37 pmNo chance there was 1k, also the allocation available is 3k and we took the lowest allocation possible.
How many were there, they were still very good backing the side.

Just ordered two for a friend. Looks like we’ve sold 630 looking at the ticket reference number on my account.

Re: 2021/22: Manchester City v Burnley – Ticket Information
Was over 900 tickets sold
Re: 2021/22: Manchester City v Burnley – Ticket Information
Are we selling the bottom or middle tier first? Assuming that's what they'll have given us.
Re: 2021/22: Manchester City v Burnley – Ticket Information
My tickets are on the bottom tier.
Re: 2021/22: Manchester City v Burnley – Ticket Information
I thought we had only taken the bottom tier??

All our tickets are bottom tier.
General sale this morning too, another chance for all those who are stopped from taking their kids to away games as you can't get tickets to go.

Re: 2021/22: Manchester City v Burnley – Ticket Information
Aye, can't really blame the club if they take a reduced allocation for a game like Newcastle, which is likely to be more popular.
Can guarantee they'll be people moaning on here that it's too hard to get away tickets

Still, at least we scored first!
Its too many very heavy defeats there for most of us, even if you can have a few beers in Manchester before and after

This is one of the main reasons I go to City, easy transport to get there, not travelling for hours, and can make your own entertainment in and around Manchester before and after the game.Lancasterclaret wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 10:21 amIts too many very heavy defeats there for most of us, even if you can have a few beers in Manchester before and after

You missed out the most attractive part, few more beers during the match staying in the centreLancasterclaret wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 10:21 amThing is, took mine when we played City in the cup and lost 4-1

Managed to get on a corporate freebie for this. With a 3pm Saturday kick off it's a reasonable day out, apart from the football bit.

To be honest I’m surprised anyone is going. City fans will already be placing their bets on whether they score 5 or 6. It’s a weird fixture because teams worse or no better than us seem to get better results and they were turning us over massively even when they were shite in the lower divisions.
All very odd.

No bud. The most ridiculous post on here is yours. Why? Because there have been far worse. Now what makes it the most ridiculous post ever? Explain in detail. You can’t because you cannot justify your inane answer.Winstonswhite wrote: ↑Sat Oct 09, 2021 5:31 pmPossibly the most ridiculous post I’ve ever read on here and that takes some doing!

Re: 2021/22: Manchester City v Burnley – Ticket Information
I greatly believe that football is cyclical. Look at our relatively recent history against Blackburn, could barely scrape a 0 0 draw, let alone a win, we’re now on 6 straight wins I think.
It’s the hope of being a football fan that takes us to most away grounds in this league.. maybe, just maybe it’s our day and it’s an “I was there type of moment in our magnificent history”.

Re: 2021/22: Manchester City v Burnley – Ticket Information
I agree with this bud. Although our record V Rovers was never THAT bad. Yes 35 years but we only played them 11 times and 2 were cup ties. I think 4 were draws so we actually only lost to them 6 or 7 times in the league in 35 years.(just thought I’d put a positive spin on it - you know- stats can prove anything depending how they’re presented). But in all that time they only hammered us once. City just seem to have us in a complete headlock for some reason. They don’t just beat us, they crucify us. Now I’m not saying we can’t win, of course we can, especially if Cornet is fit and lifts us like he seems he can, but recent history is just a tad against us, don’t you think?Andreshotboots wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 10:32 pmI greatly believe that football is cyclical. I hope this kind of clears up what I’ve been trying to say. If people want to go that’s fine. If we get a result that would be brilliant. All I’m saying is most fans pick their away games because they cannot go to all, and I think if that is the case why pick this one?
To all who are going (and it seems not too many considering what we have usually taken to Manchester games in the past) I hope you have a great time and I hope we win, but that is more hope than expectation.

Re: 2021/22: Manchester City v Burnley – Ticket Information
Houseboy might be on to something here, if the club feels we are unlikely to win then we shouldn't take any ticket allocation and spare us all. Likewise any home games when the odds are against us winning season tickets should be unavailable to be used in those games.
Of course we would be denied nights like at Old Trafford when winning 2-0, or the Chelsea cup tie, Preston in the Sherpa Van, Spurs 4-1 in the League cup and many others that we enjoyed but we might be able to save a few quid.

Possibly but in that case wouldn't it be more helpful to people if it said that online sales had now stopped but tickets were still available in person from the Ticket Office?Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 9:14 amDon't they take tickets off line by Wednesday as they don't trust the post to get to you on time?

It certainly would, but I don't think it's a massive priority selling away tickets as there's no profit in it, and uses staff time.
