Cornet is so good. Never been as excited by a Burnley player since Glen or Robbie.

Re: Burnley-Brentford-match thread
I'm remembering Jan (?) 2016 at Griffin Park - when Tarks decided to withdraw from Brentford team. Some beautiful football and 3-0 before half time.

Has to be Jan - transfer window was still open.

Absolute scenes at the Turf.
It’s 3-0 and Matt Lowton has scored with his head, whatever I’ve been drinking I’m gonna have more of it.

Frank is fuming. New keeper in January I think, with Raya being out until March.

Steve has to take credit for reintroducing the TFC.
We may even get a mention on MOTD tonight.

By January they could find themselves in the relegation mire based on this 45 minutes.minnieclaret wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 3:44 pmFrank is fuming. New keeper in January I think, with Raya being out until March.

Lowton has been outstanding, back to the form of the back end of last season when he was probably our best player.

Re: Burnley-Brentford-match thread
Well thats about as good as it gets. Great save my Pope at a crucial moment and a good block from Tarks but other than that we could have had 5 or 6 and have played some brilliant football
Shout out to the clowns for belittling anyone who suggested Cornet could play up front

What a half. Best we’ve played in a long time. Could / should have been 4/5. They simply can’t cope with Wood/Cornet, Lowton has been absolutely outstanding too.

Re: Burnley-Brentford-match thread
Fantastic first half and exactly what we all wanted to see. Proactive, forward-thinking and entertaining.
I said on Wednesday that I couldn't remember the last time I enjoyed watching a Burnley game, well barring a second half from hell, I can remember now!

Great first 45, now let's keep a clean sheet, and hopefully add another couple in the 2nd 45.

How close was the offside goal? It was hard to see on the screen here.

Re: Burnley-Brentford-match thread
Absolutely brilliant half of football. I believe best half of football with Dyche, rivals the Forest home game from 13/14 season.
For some humble pie, I have been waiting for Roberts to be fit to get Lowton out of the team, but Lowton was superb in that half of football.

Cornet was fine, it was Wood who was offside by his head, possibly a couple of inches.burnleymik wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 3:54 pmHow close was the offside goal? It was hard to see on the screen here.

As many have said over the years, we look a considerably better side when we pass the ball. Without Cork and Barnes we are a dramatically better side

The headline will be City losing at home no doubt unless they turn it around 2nd half against Palace.

I think I might just grab a beer for the second half and relax and enjoy this, Burnley are all over their defence, Wood and Cornet are breaking through with ease.
