Conor Gallagher
Conor Gallagher
Called up to the first team for the first time. Been quality this season for Palace and was impressed the other night for the 21s. Can remember a few on here during the summer saying he wasn’t up to much for a relegated side last year so why would we be in for him.
Good on him but hope he has a quiet one next weekend…

Re: Conor Gallagher
Gutted! I put £100 on him on Football Index when he was at Charlton or Swansea a good few years ago as I knew he was going to be a decent player. I can’t remember what price I got him at, it would be around £0.30p.
Football index is in liquidation now but he would have been worth a lot now and would have got some of the bonus payments from him too!
Cracking player.

Re: Conor Gallagher
Just shows you the type of quality you can pick up on loan. This is his third season out on loan. Suspect next year he will be in the Chelsea starting 11 in some games. A few years ago Reece James was out on loan, I believe at Wigan

Wigan it was. They played him CM because he was a class above.warksclaret wrote: ↑Sun Nov 14, 2021 9:22 amJust shows you the type of quality you can pick up on loan. I am almost sure I watched him in a game and he got the captaincy one game too.

Re: Conor Gallagher
Fantastic player that will no doubt be playing at the top level next season.
Marc Geuhi will be another that goes to the top. I suspect he will be in the next England senior team

Re: Conor Gallagher
Yep he’ll be in there sooner or later. Think he plays LCB for Palace too so could well be the Mings replacement if his form doesn’t improve.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 14, 2021 10:54 amFantastic player that will no doubt be playing at the top level next season.

I have often said it would pay BFC to have a look at some of the outstanding youngsters in the squads of teams like Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, possibly Spurs and Arsenal too, who are ready for the PL, and take out loans.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 14, 2021 10:54 amFantastic player that will no doubt be playing at the top level next season.

Lets face it thats how we got Trippier, Mee and Keane and these are amongst our best signings in the last 12 or 13 years

I think your right, Geuhi cost palace 18m. He looks like a. Re: Conor Gallagher
WOW your example must go back 20 years. I think modern scouts can spot a Luke Chadwick, if not they need showing the door.

Re: Conor Gallagher
The biggest issue for England going forward is arguably the strikers.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 14, 2021 12:33 pmI could see Ben White being captain but think Geuhi just looks the better talent.
England have got such fantastic talent coming through in nearly every position.
Aside from Mason Greenwood there seems to be no other stand out forwards to replace Harry Kane in the next 2-3 years.
The likes of Bamford, Watkins and Calvert Lewin are a big step down from what Kane offers and it's going to be an issue in the next few years.

Potentially but the following players are still young:Spijed wrote: ↑Mon Nov 15, 2021 8:34 amThe biggest issue for England going forward is arguably the strikers.

Greenwood 20
Madueke 19
Nketiah 20
Balogun 19
They could all yet prove to be top strikers

Re: Conor Gallagher
He played ok in the under 21 game, but the full side? In my opinion, he’s a way off that yet.

Only watched him a couple of times, for Swansea when they were playing Barnsley in last season's play offs, he looked a different class to everyone else even at that age.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 14, 2021 10:54 amMarc Geuhi will be another that goes to the top. Re: Conor Gallagher
Yes I’ve seen him a few times this season and he looked a level above the rest of his current team mates. I think he will be England captain in the coming years.NottsClaret wrote: ↑Mon Nov 15, 2021 3:14 pmOnly watched him a couple of times, for Swansea when they were playing Barnsley in last season's play offs, he looked a different class to everyone else even at that age.
Saying that Trevor Chalobah has had an impressive start to the season as well

On at HT in San Marino for his England debut. Well deserved given his impressive early season form.

Re: Conor Gallagher
Gallagher looks alright, and would be good at Burnley.
I've seen nothing yet that says he will start for Chelsea next year though.
