Can't be the same Nixon. David had only one hat whereas someone's already posted that the journalist is a two hater.
BTW Ali Bongo was the husband of Victoria Wood.

Sorry, not rumour related, but Victoria Wood was once married to The Great Soprendo, Geoffrey Durham (sad old me)

Quite ironic that Victoria Wood made The Great Soprendo 'disappear' from her will.

I fully understand your position, but while the situation with a couple of signing is seemingly not where we wanted it to be by now; we really have heard nothing to say that the noises are not other teams ‘death throws,’ trying to encourage other clubs to create a bidding war… the Croatian situation for example could all change once the home game is out of the way, or other players could still be under the media radar…Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 8:39 amI'm not. We're now half way through the most critical 48 hours in our whole season (and possibly our entire PL life) and the first half of those hours has gone very badly it seems. We'll have to pull some very big rabbits out of the hat to turn this around. I WAS very, very upbeat on Friday night and now I'm anything but unfortunately. "We go with what we have", I can almost hear SDs words on Tuesday morning already and yet he'll know that what we have is actually less than what we started January with and even then it wasn't enough.
Too soon to write off incomings, and much too soon to write off our season… whatever the result of the window, it will be a blow and not the boost we are hoping for, but at the end of the day, the team looked really together and ready for the fight against Arsenal. I am still hopeful, even confident we will pull up a few trees in the second half of the season and fight our way to safety, but it would be more difficult without additions, not impossible.

We're gonna sign Weghorst and 2 more Tomorrow and stay up, lets see if my positive approach works.

Even Weghorst and a right winger will put us bang in with a good chance of survival

What strikes me the most odd about the Orsic situation is that everything seems to be coming from the club and not from the player. You would think he would put on social media that he is staying or leaving, but instead its the club making all of the announcements.
my guess is that he was geninunely interested, we made some offers, but decided to stay put.

A Liverpool ‘social media influencer (YouTuber) with 45k followers on twitter reckons we’ve had a bid rejected for Origi. Likely rubbish but it’s a rumour.
Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
Things looking highly likely, fingers x. If ot does go through, and I know people crying out out for more, but if we can get Cornet playing on the right and Mcneil attacking again on the left with WW and Jay up top, there has got to be goals in that

Jay up top is not the answer to anything other than "what should we absolutely not do"
Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
I just hope WW is starting alongside Cornet against Watford.
Re: January 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
I think Cornet replacing JBG is a lesser eve than replacing Jay, and we don't have another fit forward, and I don't see Dyche moving away from 442

I'd have to say no, given trippiers age and at the stage of he's career, Woods lack of passion to get out of the relegation mire, and the fact we don't know an awful lot about burn or he's ability in a relegation threatened side, I'd very much doubt we'd be in any better position, so consequently you'd have to think the same for Newcastle, and re your post further back I also can't see what type of side howe is trying to assemble, I've concluded at the moment he's just trying to sign anybody and everybody in the hope he'll be able to piece something together, still the only threat I see they have is St maximum.BleedingClaret wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 1:10 pmHypothetically
If we didn’t sign WW
and we now gave Newcastle £50 million for Trippier Wood & Burn would we be any more likely to stay up

Undav would have been unlikely for us. The major shareholder of Union Saint Gilloise is Tony Bloom, the owner of Brighton.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 8:55 amAs a side note the striker I said would be a good fit is moving to Brighton.
7m for Undav.
It is just one more instance of an individual or organisations passing players between the clubs they own. In any other arena the words " conflict of interest " might arise. Owning more than one club and operating them as an interdependent entity grants numerous benefits - like moving players on with no fuss, making adjustments to the wage bill to meet FFP requirements, offloading a player ( while keeping them on the books ) and making WP issues a simple tick a box issue. The latter gives all of these PL clubs the ability to shop in any league, while clubs without a partner are restricted to the top tier clubs with their top tier prices.
In the interest of ensuring healthy and fair competition something should be done, but it won't be because the majority of PL clubs now enjoy such partnerships.
