Think he's borrowed Aaron lennon's tracksuit bottoms
Re: Wout first day in training
Hope he starts against Watford. The fans need a lift after that window. A goal or two would be incredible!

Dale Stephens looks fit again.....could be an asset going forward.
2 or 3 wins & things will look a lot better.

It’s nice to see Pieters with him as they both speak the same lingo it’s always good to have a compatriot in the club to ease into the group.

And like most people in the Netherlands they'll also speak English better than many people in England.Hibsclaret wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 7:37 amIt’s nice to see Pieters with him as they both speak the same lingo it’s always good to have a compatriot in the club to ease into the group.

Indeed. Always nice to have an early chin wag in your own lingo to get the lie of the land though.

We should get Steve McClaren in the club, he could translate for both sidesHibsclaret wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 8:38 amIndeed. Always nice to have an early chin wag in your own lingo to get the lie of the land though.

I’d be tempted to start Stephens on Saturday with Brownhill being out, he’s better on the ball than Cork.Taffy on the wing wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 3:12 amDale Stephens looks fit again.....could be an asset going forward.

Got to feel sorry for the guy. The service he will receive from our total lack of creative players will break him. He'll be talking about his 'comfort zone' by the summer before jetting off back to Germany.

When's Maxwel back with the squad?

WW, described as a 'Vollidiot' by one of my German friends !! Apparently tends to be 'spirited' and can speak his mind after the game if he is not happy. Another German friend said he will score goals with the correct service (probably like any other striker)

More importantly whats his bird like?
Re: Wout first day in training
Can he play against Watford?
I'm unsure of the rules around unvaccinated players - I'd seen mention of a 10 day waiting period but no idea if that's nonsense.

Re: Wout first day in training
I believe he will have to test on days 2 and 8 after arriving and won't have to isolate unless either test is positive. Think he's had it fairly recently too so should be fine.

He’s been training with the group, clearly no isolation requireddaveisaclaret wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 10:46 amI believe he will have to test on days 2 and 8 after arriving and won't have to isolate unless either test is positive. Think he's had it fairly recently too so should be fine.

Shame there was no clip with the bag of cement, this board would have been able to make a proper assessment of his abilities.

Re: Wout first day in training
It's a wonder he can run around with those tight trainer bottoms! Where's Crouchy's old gear?
Re: Wout first day in training
If that's what they call training I think I might know why we're bottom of the league.

Training with the subs - he will be on the bench on Saturday.
Re: Wout first day in training
If you're being serious, I doubt we can read anything into that from the warmup.IWOODLOVETT wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 12:32 pmTraining with the subs - he will be on the bench on Saturday.

Re: Wout first day in training
It’s the Dyche way. I think that it’s highly likely that he will keep things tight with the regular lineup and then use both Wout and Max as all-out impact subs.

I don’t think the manager worries about what’s on here and says that he generally ignores such “outside noise”.

Get both Wout and Max in the starting eleven. It will give us all a lift and create some positivity.

Re: Wout first day in training
It is obvious from the video that he has no left foot. Could be an advantage in certain circumstances especially if he is positioned on the right wing as he can save his left for late in games when it will be fresh.

Re: Wout first day in training
You would hope so, both players are probably our most match fit players at the moment but it's Dyche so probably both on the bench until the 80th minute just to remind us he's the bossVino blanco wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 2:33 pmGet both Wout and Max in the starting eleven. Re: Wout first day in training
Think we need to get our best players in the pitch. Not huff and puff then bring them on when it’s too late. We need to be at it at the off and get on top in this game.IWOODLOVETT wrote: ↑Tue Feb 01, 2022 1:25 pmIt’s the Dyche way. Re: Wout first day in training
I don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere but the ipaper yesterday was very complimentary about the lad and quoted one or two European football recruitment experts who thought we'd played a blinder signing him.
There was similar stuff reported this morning and now the dust has settled somewhat after the bickering over the perceived failure/success of the window, I think we're going to be pleasantly surprised, nay shocked, by Wout's impact.
We've got to start him on Saturday and absolutely rip into Watford from the off but, of course, being very wary of counter-attacks.
If Weghorst plays, I reckon he's nailed on to score.
I also fancy him to cause a fair bit of havoc against United.

Like when the muppets on here were shouting for Mee to be shifted into the middle, and away from LB where he was painfully obviously way too slow.
Re: Wout first day in training
I think when they gave him the top he would have been very pleased to be wearing the Orange and thinking how his Burnley career can help his international career also.
