Utd v Boro
Pogba back in the fold for Utd, and a fitting tribute to the Busby Babes on the weekend of the 64th anniversary of the Munich air disaster, always a poignant moment in the season.
Utd should win fairly comfortably, but in the cup you can never be totally certain.
Fair does to Middlesbrough they've took 9,000 to OT on a Friday evening.

Utd dominating and they really should be more than 1 ahead.
Shocking pen from Ronaldo, has he been taking lessons from the Cameroon players.

Re: Utd v Boro
Apparently Boro sold nearly 9,500 tickets in 24 hours. They obviously have a better ticketing system than we have!
Re: Utd v Boro
How does the referee miss that handball?

Re: Utd v Boro
I'm staggered that was allowed, and even more that it was allowed at OT for the away team.
Game on now though.

I don't care what the rules may or may not be - that should by handball without any doubt. Easy decision watching it in real time - no need for replays.

Re: Utd v Boro
I had to turn off the commentary as I was in serious danger of throwing up.
The constant reference to how a great team like Manure has silverware winning in their dna was sickening.
They have spent a fortune on some very average players and Ronaldos petulant kicks at Boros keeper should have led to a booking

Re: Utd v Boro
because it wasn't handball by the rules
They would never give a pen for that if it was a defenders arm it touched
Correct decision

How does the referee not see it? he's stood right next to it.
Now they wanna say accidental handball? 95% of the time it hits the hand it's unintentional unless they believe players are deliberately using their hand...

Re: Utd v Boro
it looked accidental to me, his hand seemed to be moving away so for me it;s not handball. Plus it's against Man Utd so it should count double

It should be a penalty but boy am I enjoying it
Re: Utd v Boro
Oh so because it's against United it's handball, alright then, let's play those rules I guess. Same fans will be on here whining about the quality of refereeingVegas Claret wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 9:30 pmit looked accidental to me, his hand seemed to be moving away so for me it;s not handball. Re: Utd v Boro
Stuart Attwell but TBH a decision that obvious shouldn't need VAR.
United only themselves to blame if they tumble out, how many clear cut chances are they going to spurn.

Re: Utd v Boro
If that decision is in accordance with the laws of the game then the laws of the game are wrong. Imagine if that happened against us tomorrow.

Not sure what’s worse - Sam Matterface or that horrendous handball decision. Imagine the reaction on here if that was against Burnley.
Re: Utd v Boro
Exactly this and the commentators are raging which is even funnier.

Yep! the way our season is going that would be typical.Conroysleftfoot wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 9:32 pmKnowing our luck Man U will put all these chances away on Tuesday night.
What should offer us some encouragement is Utd look nervy in defence 2nd half, and this against a Championship team.
Re: Utd v Boro
You really believe players deliberately handle the ball? Half the time it's smacked at them from 10 centimetres away and handball is given if their arm is up, their arm could be up while they're running/sliding/jumping, that isn't deliberately handling the ball.

Re: Utd v Boro
If it did, the same people saying the goal should stand tonight, would then be saying that the laws are wrong and it's all a conspiracy to get Burnley relegated.

Yes apparently by the new laws they got the correct decision, last season that would have been disallowed, but not now.

ET to come. And Sancho has gone off injured.
Re: Utd v Boro
minimum 4 minutes added time, the ball was in play for like 30 seconds of it and the referee blows bang on 4 minutes. The officiating in this country is killing the game

Some of us complain we can't compete but Man U cant.
If you compare to City for example. City have a better manager, a better team, a better ground, better owners and better fans.
Re: Utd v Boro
Juan Mata on for Utd. Now he would have been a decent loan signing for us, even at his age.
