Living in Spain and with the Covid situation,I have watched all our games this season on tv and I have to say the atmosphere is always good. Tonight was exceptional, I actually found myself joining in with some of the songs.

The atmosphere came through hugely on tv.
Great effort that the players could feed off.

Re: Crowd Tonight
Top drawer tonight. Brilliant. Stop with the Wout (boo) chant though if you can. His name is Wout (pronounced Vowt).

Re: Crowd Tonight
We needed to keep warm somehow
Seriously though that was probably one of the best atmospheres I’ve heard for a long time and in probably the worst weather on a match for a while as well.

His name is pronounced 'Vowt' not 'Voot'
It sounds like we're booing him for goodness sake.☹

Re: Crowd Tonight
Wasting your time trying to educate the CFS in anything. They still haven’t worked out that cocaine isn’t good for you so expecting a correct pronunciation is waaay beyond the realms of possibility.
Every time I hear the “voot” chant I shout out loud “it’s vowt” but still folk look at me like I don’t know what I’m on about.
Tonite one lad looked at me and said “yeah it’s vowt innit do bruv” yet still shouted “voot” when he was subbed.
Anyway, the Burnley crowd were great tonite and the Spurs fans were diabolical really. The odd song came thru, but overall they were dire. Maybe we just sensed something?

I heard them loud and clear in Texas, so wishing I was there even with that atrocious weather.

Re: Crowd Tonight
One of those games where you knew we 'fancied it' early which helps.
Spuds fans really didn't and neither did the team. They were nervous and it showed.
Brilliant.

Re: Crowd Tonight
No better place when the turf is rocking.
No doubt it gives the players a lift and then fans & players feed off one another alike.
The moment in the 2nd half when our most simple chant Burnley Burnley BURNLEY just seemed louder than anything that had gone before was brilliant. Goose bumps.
But the real question has got to be why our crowd doesn’t do it more often?
The fans in the CF stand always sing.
But last night we could hear the atmosphere from the other stands aswell. There was noise across the ground.
So Longside & Jimmy Mac. We need you at that level that for the rest of the season. We all need to play our part.

I had a little giggle at the song coming from the Cricket Field in response to the Spuds ‘he’s one of our own’ re Harry Kane.

I’m in the Longside upper and always trying to get chants going when the CFS start them, but sometimes it’s hard work, which is frustrating.
Last night was much better but even then there were a few just sat there. When it’s just me and a few others singing alone, I can understand it, but when 80% are singing and the Turf is rocking, I can’t comprehend why they don’t get behind us. These are lifelong Burnley fans, not newbies. Get behind the lads you miserable lot.
Last night there was a chap stood up encouraging everyone behind him. Great to see. Need to pack the Turf and get a similar atmosphere going vs Leicester.

Re: Crowd Tonight
Wout seemed to appreciate the fans at the end (even if the 'chant' does pronounce his name wrong).

Re: Crowd Tonight
I 've said it once and I'll say it and shout it again - Vowt ,Vowt - Vowt Vowt Vowt - Vowt,Vowt,Vowt ,Vowt - Weghorst
just as simple as can be - and can be added to with a clap, clap, - clap, clap, clap, -clap,clap,clap,clap, Weghorst.
and it doesn't sound like booing!!!!!!
