Everton v Leicester tonight
Everton v Leicester tonight
Probably Evertons easiest remaining fixture. Leicester have lost 6 of their last eight away games ( 1W 1D). No Vardy or Ndidi for Leicester but Maddison expected to start. Everton by the odd goal for me. HUGE game for us

Re: Everton v Leicester tonight
All these teams playing Everton should be looking to next season and who realistically they would get 6 points from - Burnley or Everton. Then they should all smash Everton

Anything less than 3 points for Everton is a huge bonus, even if they win we can still stay up but would make Southampton even more vital.

I think it’ll be a convincing Everton win. They will want it more.

If they get 6 pts clear on equal games we really have a mountain to climb. Though flip it to a Leics win and we beat Soton it’s massively game on .

I'm being optimistic and going for a Leicester win, and us to beat Southampton. As good a time as any.

Flakey as anything Leicester and there for the taking.
We had our opportunity against them at home but inexplicably changed the team and barely laid a glove on them, making us their only win in that last 8 away games.
A massive opportunity missed that night.

They'd had Vardy and Maddison out for most of that run. Soon as I saw Vardy named on the bench I fancied him to come on and win it, he always scores against us. Sometimes even for us.arise_sir_charge wrote: ↑Wed Apr 20, 2022 4:42 pmFlakey as anything Leicester and there for the taking.

I'm hoping the Leicester players know the importance of keeping in good form. Everton at home are pretty good so anything less than an Everton win should be welcomed

Suspect Leicester are only interested in their European exploits now. Expect an inexperienced side and comfortable win for Everton.

Re: Everton v Leicester tonight
A bit unfortunate for us that Leicester are generally a bit depleted with Vardy and Ndidi out. Leicester look to have a few more regular bodies in the back 4 now though - so hopefully can keep it down to 1 or less goals conceded. Leicester are capable of knocking in a couple even without Vardy.
My bookie has it 29/20 for the home win and 9/5 for the away so Everton favourites. Might have a couple of bob on a 1-2 scoreline (@11/1) and keep my fingers crossed.
With Liverpool and Chelsea as their next 2 games, no points for Everton tonight would give us something to cling onto.

Leicester do have games in hand and can get into Europe again such are the travails of the sides above them. That is the crumb I am holding onto.

It may turn out that way but Rodgers strikes me as a better manager than one who thinks he can turn his team's form off and on like a tapSilkyskills1 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 20, 2022 5:45 pmSuspect Leicester are only interested in their European exploits now. Even if Everton lost tonight. I’d still expect them to pick up points against Watford, Brentford and Palace, 2 of which will be on the beach by that point. I just can’t see them going down

Re: Everton v Leicester tonight
Really we have dug our own grave. The penalty miss, failing to score against Norwich etc.
I am not sure where this idea came from about a tricky run in for Everton with Leicester, Brentford and Palace three teams at home on the beach. Plus Everton have actually won nearly half of their home games.

I think they’ve picked as strong of a team as they can, I just think they are a bit flakey generally.

Re: Everton v Leicester tonight
Harvey Barnes back for Leicester could do with him bagging tonight, Keane benched for Everton.
Expect an Everton win, but we can but hope they slip up, and if they lose tonight and we beat Saints tomorrow, then we would be out of the bottom 3, and Everton have a tough next couple of games.
So come on the Foxes.

All we can do is win our next two games - that would put the pressure on
I can't see a Leicester win, but they are so hot and cold this year and will want to finish on a high

Re: Everton v Leicester tonight
Leicester to win 1-0. We then beat Southampton tomorrow and then also beat Wolves. Obviously lose the easy game against Watford. But then in steps Steven Gerrard. He names the Aston Villa line up and nobody has heard of a single player... he's playing the under 14's. We win 12-0. Gerrard repeats the favour in the return fixture, sending Everton down and becoming an even bigger Liverpool legend.

Re: Everton v Leicester tonight
Hypothetically, if Everton were to go down rather than us, wouldn’t that be proof that Everton are the team from whom it would be easier to garner 6 points from next season. Except, obviously you couldn’t as they’d be in the wrong league. Which is why I started out saying “hypothetically”. But you get my drift?Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Wed Apr 20, 2022 4:14 pmAll these teams playing Everton should be looking to next season and who realistically they would get 6 points from - Burnley or Everton.
