I think the majority of the journalists ( so to speak) are just chancers trawling through social media for snippets to regurgitate.....I was poo pooed yesterday for sharing how we tried to sign Harry Darlings between him accepting Swansea's offer and taking the medical but it's 100% and it wasn't reported by these "in the know" .....so it just shows we are certainly happy to work under the radar for the ones we REALLY want .

Surely your news re. Twine will be out in the media shortly though if it’s true.louieollie wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 4:02 pmI think the majority of the journalists ( so to speak) are just chancers trawling through social media for snippets to regurgitate.....I was poo pooed yesterday for sharing how we tried to sign Harry Darlings between him accepting Swansea's offer and taking the medical but it's 100% and it wasn't reported by these "in the know" .....so it just shows we are certainly happy to work under the radar for the ones we REALLY want .

As for JBG he will do well next year and had proven to be a good creator of chances. He is recovering in time to play his part in our promotion team

While we are here, another new name to be linked by Mercato
‘Negotiations are progressing rather well between Standard de Liège and Burnley for a possible transfer of Jackson Muleka.’
He is a 22 year old striker.

We need to slow down a bit here, with all these new players coming in we'll have to have the names on the front, as well as the backs of the shirts, I won't bloody recognise anybody.

imagine the triangles - McNeil, Cornet, Muleka and Vydra

Muleka looks raw. Definite potential there. Out of him and Twine I'd rather have Twine though.

An MK dons fans page saying Twine is set to sign for us and said goodbye to players / staff today in training.
Might back up louieollie, unless that was his source.

Certainly looking more promising now. If we can bring in players like Twine, Muleka, Ballard and Harwood Bellis alongside the experince players we have then it could be a good season.

If this proves to be true - it sound like a promising signing. Even if it takes him a while to adapt at a higher level (his numbers suggest it probably won’t) it sounds as though his dead balls are top notch! Having a free kick specialist will be a real bonus.

He was involved in 33 goals last season, 20 goals 13 assists, he scored 6 free kicks all brilliant, he should be able to get at least 70% of that in the championship

Muleka got a hatful in Turkey almost a goal a game but that level even Weghorst could score at. Didn’t do as well in Belgium before going to Turkey.
Looks promising though as a player.

You know who you are as well, so crack on!

Re: Summer 2022 Burnley Transfer Window Rumours - Links - Discussion
What I like about the Ballard deal (assuming it comes off) is that we clearly had multiple centre back targets. We tried for McNally at around £1.5m and £1.75m but once the amounts reached £2m we must have thought/known we could get a Championship proven option in Ballard for that so moved on quickly.
Hopefully we have similar shortlists and move equally quickly for other positions if first choice options don't come off.

I just hope that our vast swathe of impatient fans give the new manager and new players time to gel. Given the meltdown of how long it took to announce Kompany and the "why haven't we signed anyone" posts I'm doubtful !
Very important we give them time, it's a complete rebuild !

I find it interesting that we are suddenly being linked with all these players in their early 20s, but who did the scouting for them. Has the club always known about them or has it come from Kompany?
Were they on our radar but ignored by Dyche as potential signings
