The New Stoke City Home Shirt

Post by THEWELLERNUT70 » Thu Jun 02, 2022 7:47 am

Is available with or without the BET 365 logo on the front. What a great idea and let's hope more clubs follow suit !

Wish all clubs did this. Makes for a much better shirt.

I suppose it’s a much easier sponsorship deal to make when the owners of Stoke and Bet365 are one and the same.

West Ham do this. Not sure of any other clubs.

Wasn’t it a hack on the website though, by ordering a child’s shirt and then request an XXXL size or something?

If you did this with Burnleys you’ll get one with Utilita on the front.

Maybe but they happily sold them without the sponsor.

It was an intentional "hack" from what I remember.

I can see this going down like a lead bloom with sponsors if it was to become common knowledge. Replica shirts around the area are like walking billboards, the more sponsorless shirts sold, the lower the brand awareness… the lower the sponsorship value.

Led Zepplin wouldn't have gone down like a lead bloom.

I suppose it’s a nice option. Seeing a betting logo doesn’t really make me want to have a bet or sign up with that company though.

If middle aged fat blokes are happy to pay circa £40 for a top that looks awful on them I cant believe whether there's a sponsor on the shirt or not is gonna make much difference

I can just imagine Trevor trying on his new top and asking his missus how does it look and her saying. "You look like your dressed in a tent but its that sponsor that really ruins the fat middle age man look
