A real thinker this time. McNeil is a must pick but then can you plump for Cornet after 26 games and if not is it Arfield or Boyd?
I went Boyd. Some player.

This one's a toughy. I'd have to go for Arfield and McNeil, I think.

Not forgetting the influence JBG had on the side until the injuries started affecting him. He was player of the season on here in 2017/18.

At last we reach positions where there are arguments for multiple players. All the previous have been shoe ins.

JBG at his peak was a brilliant player - instrumental in our 7th place finish.
I opted for JBG & Scott Arfield
I was tempted with Cornet but for me has played too much as a 9 to have him as out and out 442 winger so chose Arfield

Re: ARTICLE: Central midfielders chosen and now for the wide players
Arfield was an easy pick, the 2ns was tough, many of those players have made impacts during their time here, but many have also been severely hit by injury sadly. eventually went for Cornet, yes he's only played 26 games, but his goals almost kept us up last season, and without those we'd have been down long before the Newcastle game.
Re: ARTICLE: Central midfielders chosen and now for the wide players
Has to be Arfield for one of the places. Fantastic player for us. Dynamic, versatile, scorer of huge goals. We always looked weaker without him. And yet another who we allowed to leave without replacing.

Arfield and Boyd, vital in helping us get our feet under the table during Dyche's tenure.
Boyd just seemed to run forever, incredible engine.
Arfield just played wherever he was told and did a very good job more often than not and scored some cracking goals, not bad for a lad the Huddersfield fans were glad to see leave.

Went with the guys who I thought would get overlooked because they both had long spells out and peopler remember them for their injuries and not being able to play rather than how fantastic they were when fully fit.
When they were fit, they truly were better than the other options.
Robbie Brady and JBG for me.

I went with McNeil and Wade Elliot, he always gave us something different and was exciting on the ball, really difficult to pick him over Arfield.

In my head I’d already picked McNeill and Blake….. but Robbie’s not in there. Now it’s tougher.

Dwight in, straight off.
Found the second pick harder.
Ended up with Wade edging out both Scotty & George, for me.

Scotty and George for me. If ever there were two lads who gave more, I have yet to see 'em.
George was an absolute machine, he never ever stopped running and chasing, a proper athlete.
And let's not forget who put the ball in the b4st4rds net...
Had Dwight been allowed to continue as he started, he would've been a shoe in.

Dwight and JBG for me. Almost went for Brady and JBG since they were so good in 17/18, but Brady's injury came a bit too soon.
I tried to ignore Wade and Scotty's contributions in the league below and just think PL.

McNeil and Elliot for me. Although Arfield was a close third. Elliot won because of his crossing.
Re: ARTICLE: Central midfielders chosen and now for the wide players
I plumped for Dwight and JBG.
Dwight was an easy choice, the opposite flank not so. All of those listed have contributed in one way or another. Ultimately though, that there was no standout contender on the other flank highlights an area that we’ve struggled in for quite some time.

Those were my two. I think a lot have forgotten just how good JBG was until all the injuries kicked in.DCWat wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 2:20 pmI plumped for Dwight and JBG.
