Brum-QPR

Post by tiger76 » Fri Oct 28, 2022 7:58 pm

Surprised there isn't more interest in this game considering QPR can leapfrog us and go top with a victory.

Juke on the bench for Brum, No Dunne for QPR can only assume he's injured or suspended.

2 lower tiers facing the camera are under covers, doesn’t look good really

If a shot like that was conceded by Muric this board would go into meltdown.
I like Birmingham's midfield.

No reason why Brum can't get another.

Think we'd rip through this QPR defence like an open-pit roasted leg of lamb.

Same as when we played them, some structural problems with them.

QPR look a poor side. They won’t be one of the teams in the final reckoning, on this evidence.

2-0 now as I type that.

Seemingly there is ongoing work at the Tilton Road End and the Old Spion Kop. They are 10,000 seats down on capacity, however the home tickets are sold out tonight.

Thought there must be some reason or than than just demand, I went in the last promotion season and really liked the way ground wrapped around and seemed right on top of the pitch

We didn’t deserve to get 3 points there - and looks like QPR are finding the same! The pressure they put us under with their work rate and press was excellent for much of the match.

Fancy Birmingham for top 6 and QPR lower mid table.
Birmingham have picked up a few good loans and 2 of hem are on the scoresheet.

Draw was about right. Birmingham then batter Rovers for 90 minutes and end up somehow losing! Crazy.

I dare say there were Sunderland supporters saying the same about us at half time to be fair.
The question is, do QPR have what it takes to turn this around like we did?

The thing is, I see us a clear distance the best side. There's a few who could be good enough to be 2nd best - it doesn't really say much though. Apart from us no team look anything special.

Can’t see QPR staying there. Or Rovers. Pretty average and injuries will bite.

Considering Blades and Norwich are 22nd and 24th in the form table while already 6 and 7 points behind, it isn’t unrealistic to think we could be 10 points clear of any serious contenders come the World Cup. We’ve got a real chance to get a stranglehold on the title.

When we drew at Birmingham VK said that later in the season when we look back, we will view that point as a very good one. How right he was. Birmingham have had some good results already against he stronger sides, and will continue to take points off the good sides
