Is it not time….
…. For Christiano Ronaldo to STFU?
Whiny little bitch….
Whiny little bitch….
Re: Is it not time….
Very very strange interview, nothing explosive or revealing, nothing to change opinion in his favour.
Just a player at the end of his career unwilling to accept it's nearing the end

Don't be overly shocked if Utd sack him after they've seen the full interview

‘ Why does the greatest player of all time (in my opinion) have to wait two weeks to tell Manchester United fans the truth? Stand up now and speak. The club is in crisis and it needs leaders to lead. He’s the only one who can grab this situation by the scruff of the neck!’
17th August, Gary Neville. Funny how opinions change to fit an agenda.

I wonder if it even crosses his mind that he might not be good enough anymore. Or maybe what made him great also prevents him from seeing it.

Last season he was United’s top scorer, player of the year and in the Prem team of the season. Terrible player.welsbyswife wrote: ↑Thu Nov 17, 2022 10:08 pmI wonder if it even crosses his mind that he might not be good enough anymore. Or maybe what made him great also prevents him from seeing it.

When you get to 37 last season was a long time ago. He’s become a goal hanging non-entity. His legs have gone. Even Portuguese fans have been calling for him to be dropped during the qualifiers.Milltown1882 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 17, 2022 10:11 pmLast season he was United’s top scorer, player of the year and in the Prem team of the season. Clearly not a terrible player but if you think Utd are stronger with him in the team you are deluded. He's on the wane.

Re: Is it not time….
Most forward players who play on towards 40 tend to drop back and rely on their experience rather than pace to play a more creative role. He seems unwilling or unable to do that possibly because his ego tells him the whole team should be set up around him. But as Tricky Trev points out, his legs have gone and without pace he's just not worth a place up front in that side.

Re: Is it not time….
he was the only player remotely decent for them recently. the players around him were floundering, and despite that he was scoring .
Not too much time has elapsed since then.
Only problem I had was he chose that **** morgan to do the interview. That devious **** who is the darling of the ITV pea brained viewing public.

If the clubs lawyers can prove he's slandered the club or it's owners in some way, then he'll be sacked for gross misconduct or something similar.
They want him gone anyway, his attitude stinks.

Re: Is it not time….
I would pay to watch him play even now. He is only saying what others think about the overhyped entity that is Manchester United.
They had a great period under Fergie but he was savvy enough to see the writing on the wall. Ever since they have lurched from failed players to failed managers to ego driven players and ego driven managers.
It is an institution that lost it's way and some can't appreciate tradition does not compete well against money.
Ronaldo bailed them out last season but now they have another Coach with an ego that won't back down.

Why does he have to STFU? Shouldn't everyone be allowed to say what they think? I mean we have just celebrated remembrance days and freedom of speech was one of the things they were fighting for.
Once this is gone then it's game over. Don't forget that

Re: Is it not time….
United finished 2nd under Ole the season before he joined.
At the time the R7 fanboys were creaming over the signing.
Some of us said it was a poor signing and would upset the squad morale.
It’s all gone pretty much exactly as I expected, with this interview the cherry on top.

Re: Is it not time….
Interesting move by Manyoo. Tangle Ronaldo up in a legal battle whilst holding onto his registration, at the end of which he'll be done as a player and will no doubt have to pay back any wages paid since Manyoo started proceedings.
Alternatively they could have just sacked him.
On his side he has to wait till the end of his contract or (I think) buy it out himself and walk away.

Re: Is it not time….
having watched the interview I'd say it was unnecessary, but I didn't hear much wrong other than his pop at the current manager
Re: Is it not time….
To be great you have to have a certain personality.... Sometimes it comes out good, sometimes not..... I'm in my 60s...id loved to have seen him play for my team our country.. Always gave 100 %.... Forget the off field crap.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Fri Nov 18, 2022 4:11 pmhaving watched the interview I'd say it was unnecessary, but I didn't hear much wrong other than his pop at the current manager

Re: Is it not time….
I hope United take him to the cleaners.
He sounds like a proper entitled fecker who as been arse licked all his life like a lot of premier League footballers, but unlike most when things aren't going his way the toys have left the pram
What a poor way to end an incredible career with memories of utter childish crap from a man who should have known better, he is making a proper tit of himself and losing the respect of his fellow professionals and the football world
Yes agree, he needs to stfu

The slander route is one to be avoided. In fact, from a man u perspective, anything that involves open court should be avoided.
Slander is only proven if the thing stated turns out to be untrue. He could have a whole lot of fun showing that some of the choice comments that he made about the glazers were not untrue, and in the process would probably make a lot of man u supporters happy.

He should give something back to his origins
Invest in Maritimo and move back to Maderia

Re: Is it not time….
Given the pitch conditions and heavy ball at the time of his career george best was a far better player but add em both together and they will still be behind Ralph Coates and I say that without a hint of bias
