You post a reply and then notice a typo or predictive text has invaded.
You then immediately go back and use edit to correct.
While this is underway....what is the state of the thread?
Is it still there, inc your typo post, for all to see and react to?
Does the whole thread disappear for that edit time?
If so, where does it go?
Does just your post being edited disappear?

Best person to ask would be Wrongo as he used to have to edit his posts about 20 times in the few mins after posting. Think he goes under the moniker 1882Clarets1882 these days if you want to reach out to him

ClaretTony has a team of diminutive refugees from a secret location in the North, one of them holds the thread as it was and another knits the new words into the tapestry of the web with magical thread. It's a wonder to behold I can tell you. As soon as some one presses edit they stop the space time continuum and only they can see the thread until the work is done. Don't tell any one though, it's our little secret.
