Rumour has it that on the Bradford site, they've posted the same sign from the other side, and complained that only 1 letter is facing the right way. ;)

Happy Christmas from Yorkshire...for lots of us Burnley is our local team ... I am very proud to come from Yorkshire but Love Lancashire too especially around the Trough of Boland ... and have loved BFC all my life

We found out my wife was pregnant last night ...I am in my 50s so I am thrilled she is much younger...

Need to make sure the baby is born in Yorkshire so he / she gets the Yorkshire

Merry Christmas, wbfc. I play walking football, everyone is 60+. One of the guys, 67 years old, was talking about being delighted that family member had been selected as Chelsea Women's mascot. The girl is top class at junior school. I thought he was referring to his granddaughter. No, turns out it was his daughter. One of the other players, just 60 years old then said he'd got a 5 year old son.

Congratulations to you and your wife. Hope everything runs smoothly for you - and you keep enjoying the Trough of Bowland.

I adore Yorkshire and Lancashire. Born in Nelson, lived in Wakefield 8 years before moving to Sussex. My wife is from Skipton my brother lives in Leeds.
Any chance I can get to visit the Dales, Trough of Bowland etc etc I'm on it.

By the way a good friend of mine, who lives in West London phoned me and had a chat back in April. He told me his wife was expecting. Nothing unusual you might think? He was 69. His beautiful daughter was born earlier this month a week before his 70th birthday. He incidentally is from Barnsley.

You can always tell a Yorkshireman….

But you can’t tell him much.

Happy Christmas.

North and West Yorkshire on my mother’s side and lots of Scandinavian DNA (apparently..).
Beautiful county but born in Burnley so always a Lancastrian.

As another Burnley supporting ‘Yorkie’, I don’t really have the Yorkshire / Lancashire animosity - maybe a bit of friendly rivalry. That said, I’m always pleased to get back over the border to see proper stone instead of red brick!

We’re all very fortunate to live in and around Yorkshire and Lancashire. Counties that benefit from some beautiful scenery and some bizarre accents to boot :)

You'll struggle to see much red brick around Burnley and Pendle! Do you walk round with your eyes closed when visiting the Turf?!

True, it's definitely a feature of 'Greater Manchester' (I really hate that term). And on the Yorkie side, plenty of red brick in Wakefield/Doncaster/Barnsley.
