Not many haven't heard Insomnia, iconic song that has stood, and will continue to stand, the test of time

https://youtu.be/P8JEm4d6Wu4

And of course God is a DJ, another classic.

Really sad news. I loved Faithless, one of the first electronic acts I properly got into. RIP Maxi

This is really sad news, Maxi Jazz and Faithless are the main reason for my love of dance music RIP Maxi, you can finally get some sleep.

A friend once told me there are two types of people - those that love Insomnia, and those who haven't heard it yet.

Terry Hall, Martin Duffy then this (plus admittedly lesser known former La's and Shack drummer Iain Templeton); what an awful week.

Faithless were a great live act, largely due to Maxi's stage presence.

Faithless were huge in the 90's when I was first getting into dance music. Haven't heard much about them recently but I don't follow that scene like I used too when I was younger.

Faithless were my first ever concert with my old man. Will never forget it. As others have said, I recall his stage presence and ability to control the crowd.

Obviously the main songs are Insomnia, God etc but I loved some of the perhaps lesser known ones like Mass Destruction and Muhammad Ali.

RIP.

Ahh, that's sad news. Reverence was and still is such a good album, an iconic 90s record. Not sure whether Maxi Jazz had much to do with the Back To Mine - Faithless compilation album, think it was more of a Rollo/Sister Bliss project, but I played that particular album to death in 00/01.
RIP, Maxi Jazz, a huge voice of my young adult years.

Faithless are some collection on their own

Maxi Jazz. Great vocalist
Sister Bliss. Unreal on the keyboard and a massive artist on her own
Rollo. Top producer

Some properly talented people in Faithless, including Maxi Jazz.

Insomnia is still anthemic to this day and despite being a huge crossover hit, remains a properly credible dance track that even the most underground of ravers will have a soft spot for.

They created a sound that influenced various dance genres, and still do to this day.

Gone too soon - hopefully enjoying himself up on the heath, tearing off tights with his teeth!

I hadn’t realised until googling after reading this news that Sister Bliss’s sister is Dido. Not heard anything from her for a long time!!

I thought Dido was Rollo's sister?

Simply phenomenal was Maxi Jazz. I loved Faithless, and watched them multiple times. Towards the end of my clubbing days, I took my then girlfriend, now wife to watch faithless at the MEN. She didn't get the fuss until she saw the gig, totally blew her away. I loved going to the super clubs in Liverpool, Sheffield and Birmingham back in the 90s - early 00's, most of my love of dance inspired by listening to Faithless. RIP Maxi and thank you, for some of the best times of my life.

When you Google Dido you realise why Florian Cloud de Bounevialle Armstrong preffered her shortened name!

When you Google "Dido" you also need to be careful of your spelling.

Another one gone too early.

Saw them 7 years ago and they were still as good as when I had seen them 20 years ago.
It was an outdoor gig and the amount of liquid that went in the air when Insomnia dropped was ridiculous.
Rest easy fella.
