Grand Old Team.

A lot of Everton fans on this forum think Dyche will be in charge before long!

I especially like this quote by one of their posters

"It doesn't even take much more than half a brain to realize Dyche is fraudulent. His type of manager is out and hopefully it won't be coming back."

I fear Mr Dyche, in securing Burnley future, has damaged his own.

Hope he gets the job and shows them.

I think taking on the then BFC chairman the way he did may have had an adverse affect on his future in football management.

Dyche is seen as a gamble by the majority of clubs, certainly in the Premier League and certainly over the "brand" of football that he offered up. We know that he can and would adapt with money, if he was given it, but that wasn't to be.

A rod for his own back and a victim of his own success. Then again, Owen Coyle played nice lovely football and look where he is now, it only takes one wrong move and your career is basically done.

I personally think Dyche will end up at somewhere in the Championship and get them challenging for promotion.

Everton dodging the bullet for a good few years now, could see them going this season. Saying that, Southampton, Wolves (until today) and Leicester all look terrible. Oh, and Forest of course.

If they had any sense ( which they haven't) they should push the boat out for Kompany rather than Dyche.

Of all the options VK may have, that one would be a long way down the agenda.

And if Kompany had any sense (which I think he does) he’d stay well away from that mess

OC had a lot more than one wrong move, thankfully… managed to destroy Bolton and Blackburn (not single-handedly). He redeemed himself to me by being a terrible manager.

After the last season and the over entitlement of Everton both by fans and particularly the media.

It would give me great pleasure 🙏 to see them relegated.

Won't happen though.

The key thing going for Everton this year is that there are more teams worse than them, despite them being cack themselves!

Watched the last five minutes at 1-1. The crowd were getting on their case about not attacking when Wolves were defending super deep. Eventually Takes played a decent diagonal which Everton eventually lost, and then Wolves broke and scored.

Cue masses of booing from the stands. Toxic club

Yep. Their fanbase has been shocking for months now. Created a really toxic atmosphere in the ground. A massive part of the problem.

Yes! By a team that have just gone 2nd in the league! Leicester started season 7 without a win, out of the following 9 they’ve won 5, so yes in my book I would call that an improvement!

Tbf I think Everton almost a perfect squad for Dyche.

A very good striker in Calvert Lewin (if he can stay fit).

Good wingers.

Athletic CMs.

Strong CBs that can deal with aerial threats.

It’s almost a ready made squad for him. He would do well there.

There certainly is a very toxic element to their fan base. Living on Merseyside I know quite a few evertonians and the ones I’ve spoken to are shocked with just how toxic it’s got. One I was talking to this morning had taken his 9 year old son home after 70 minutes of the Brighton game as he didn’t want him exposing to some of the things being said (and he’s no prude).

Any suprise when then condone and encourage that behaviour as a "force" when it's going well.

The fireworks, the intimidation, the fan base. Works both ways.

Be glad when they go down.

If I was an Everton player being treated like that then my effort in the next game is going to be significantly less than 100%. In fact I’d happily see then relegated and leave for somewhere better in the summer.

stopping players to berate them on the streets, threatening board members , vile abuse, demanding success and more money, not accepting the fact that football can be harsh if you lose.
Terrible state of affairs, its like mob rule. loads of decent everton fans, but the scummy minority with their flares and yob habits are tarnishing a club with genuine tradition. partly why so many neutrals are now hoping they fail miserably.

It's a real shame, as I know plenty of sound Everton fans and Goodison is one of the best football grounds around. Toxic is the word though and there's no condoning these scenes.

Lol at Southampton's hoelrel review on trip adviser.

Yes, I think there are teams that should be below them in paper. Lampard and his back room staff are the link that needs removing.
