Lino

Post by brexit » Wed Dec 28, 2022 9:43 am

Sat in the BL last night

Some muppet was berating the "lino" all the way through, can I remind him that they are now called Assistant Referees and that their duties are covered by Law 6: The Other Match Officials - I actually think the "lino" had a good game his decisions were overridden by the ref.
Can we also clarify that under law 11 a player can be judged offside when a teammate touches the ball, and you can't be offside from a throw in.

Good match last night, consistent referee

Seems a bit perverse to criticise someone for using an unofficial name for the man (or woman) on the line, while yourself using an unofficial name for the man in the middle. He isn't called "ref". ;)

The 2 liners managed to see the square root of f*ck all between them last night...absolute wastes of space.

He could have advised the referee about Hannibals assault on Benson. A clear second yellow and the AR had the better view. The referee was looking through the assailant and would have no idea how bad it was.

Going to guess around seat K33/4

Have to put up with him every game and whilst everyone mimics and makes fun of him, he just carries on

Neil Warnock always called em Linos. Some of the clips of him berating said Linos are hilarious.
