Charlie Austin
Back in the Football League with Swindon Town. I think he will score a bag load at that level, if fit of course. Great signing for Swindon.

Re: Charlie Austin
Cited family reasons for leaving Australia. I still rate him, and I think he is a great signing for Swindon.

Re: Charlie Austin
Been in steady decline since the end of his first spell at QPR.
Not sure he'll do much at Swindon, depends on how his body holds up.

Re: Charlie Austin
Could prove a shrewd signing for promotion chasing Swindon, if he can stay fit he'll provide goals at that level, similar to when Burnley signed Ian Wright in the twilight of his career, and though he didn't score many (4 I think) they were all vital goals that won us valuable points.

Didn't we sign Charlie from Swindon ?...Good luck to him.

Re: Charlie Austin
I hope he does well at Swindon but I fear he may struggle now. He struggled to start at WBA under different managers, and his second spell at QPR was not much more productive. No doubt Talk Sport will welcome him back too
Re: Charlie Austin
He was a brilliant player. Look at his goal record
His biggest mistake, and I said it at the time, was not leaving QPR after his first prem season with them. He scored 18 in 35 prem games! That’s bloody amazing but he stayed with qpr and went to the championship and then got injured and his career was never the same. At the time of score 18 in 35 I seriously wondered why a spurs or arsenal were not In for him

Re: Charlie Austin
He loves Town, so moving there to stay playing. My bro reckons he’s also lining up as a coach for the younger players too
