Got a feeling that we won’t bring in that many, but the ones we do bring in will be marquee players for our club. Axel Witsel was rumoured in the transfer window, albeit a very tenuous link, however it’s that type of player that I am thinking of. He would bring vast experience, and that cutting edge quality needed for the PL.

Another example of this is the Willian signing at Fulham, if done right can reap huge rewards

Midday update, Saturday.

84 seats remain available for your purchase!

I wonder how many are unaware that their chance of an ST is almost gone, thinking they have until March?

Some may be visiting in person, today and be shocked when they get to the ticket office.

Good luck.

I agree - will be nowhere near able to spend best part of 1/4 billion pounds on a squad next season.

I think that is why we have brought in some players in January when at the time, we were all saying we probably didn't need much. Giving time to learn the system and gel with the team and not having to have another summer of getting loads of players up to speed.

My guess is that we will be able to add further with a bit of quality but I hope our recruitment is based on converting some loans to perms.

Maybe our youngest ST holder? Club should do a feature on it.

Probably not, because at the risk of sounding like a right miserable bugger, that seat will be unoccupied next season whilst people may be unable to buy tickets.

No, although I imagine some will accept them to get the early bird pricing in the hope to get a seat swap after March 24th.

Yes. With only those seats available, it is either hope to get on when you want to come or buy and hope to exchange.

Either way, you get a seat at a good price!

I’m surprised the club are selling any restricted view season tickets, I would have thought it best to hold them back as walk on tickets

Longside 15
Bee Hole 19
Bob Lord 12

Total 46

No restriction on the Longside or Bee Hole End, to my knowledge.
Maybe in the Bob Lord, although almost all gone.

I suspect the club will have a fair indication of how many non renewals there will be. They also know that the poor view seats will be swapped out and probably form part of the 5% needed for walk ons, using the released RV seats. All good.

A young chap that comes with us has transferred (moved) from his seat in the JMU onto the (Longside ... I think NU1 or 2) as he is under 22 his seat price hasn't changed much on the earlybird prices quoted £210 to £230 so he thought he would join us on the Longside 🙂

A mate has just bought 2 STs in the family stand for him and his little lad.
He could only get single seats 3 apart.

Let's hope they have have some seat swaps available.

When my kids were young we were in JMU and had 1 of our 3 tickets a few seats apart. Fellow clarets on the day always moved up one to accommodate us with no problems. However, good luck trying to organise officially moving everyone along one seat as the ticket office couldn’t seem to manage that even with everyone’s agreement. We spent 4 seasons in there like that before moving to CFS

Unless he's surrounded by a huge group, there shouldn't be an issue as its only a seat move

My lad and my S/T neighbour swapped seats about 10 years ago informally and there isn't any hassale

In the whole of this thread I haven't seen a mention of ticket availability in the CFS?

It's not like I want one - too old - but I assume that stand is completely sold out for Burnley fans next season?

I once found myself on a plane in the middle of a largish party of Scousers on their way home from a Las Vagas boxing match. I was politely but beerily asked if I would be so obliging as to swap seats with one of their party, somewhere the other side of the plane, who was on his own and scared of flying. And like with the hypothetical little kid, I was more than happy to move.

Not heard of humour?

All the previous posts were positive to moving, so I interrupted the flow, with a short sharp contrary point.

I am pleased to say though that in my great seat, I am surrounded by good folk.

Just to clarify - you can “upgrade” it to adult game by game. You just go in to the ticket office & pay the extra. They Vance your ST and give you a paper replacement.
Do you pay the difference between that and a season ticket price, or a walk on price?

I upgraded a child ST to an adult ticket (in JMU) for a game (think it was Boro or Birmingham match in December) and it cost twenty quid.

I was considering a ticket for my 4 year old but she’d probably only go on a handful each season and I didn’t want an empty seat being wasted, as it happens I’ve left it too late now anyway
