I think BPF needs a special mention. He was excellent today. His distribution was great too.

Terrific win against a good Norwich side and with several key players missing.

Sheff Utd only draw at Rotherham so a 7 point advantage for the Clarets now.

And we were missing players including our first-choice keeper, our captain and Benson.
It’s amazing, every week bettering themselves.

Barnes uses every piece of experience and it shows. Gives him the edge, everywhere. Playing a blinder.

Another clean sheet will do him no harm either after keeping one at Ipswich,

We keep saying, "this is a tough game" like we did before the West Brom game, only to sweep all before us.

Really is magnificent to watch.

39 points from the last 42 available. That's just not fair on everyone else.

I''I' be a bit pedantic here. If any team closes a 20 point gap, the GD will reduce significantly. ;)

I’ll call it first - i expect Barnes to get a 1 year extension. Superb today. His nous invaluable in the PL.

A terrific result again! Some tough games to come in the next 4/5 so let’s hope we can continue in this incredible run of form.

I also thought Barnes was terrific again today and for me he deserves to be first pick up top right now.

I thought Barnes would leave this window-but that was one of his best games this season. At present far more dangerous than Jay

Beyer is such a rock!!!
MoM for me for allowing yet another CB to slide in easily and shine. What a player, what a great defence chief.
Also congrats to Ekdal. Great debut!!

Really thought we’d drop points today. Keep thinking the run has to come to an end sometime and this looked the kind of match where it would happen. Now wondering who can stop us!

Solid win. Our depth is incredible. I was worried about a replacement for hwb but edkal slots right in.

First time ever watching Burnley, I think. Tuned in to watch Ekdals debut but was overall very impressed by your team!

I’ll hide this on the match thread but I’m glad this easy win against a promotion hopeful confirms that while Muric is an excellent distributor this side don’t need that to be outstanding.
We were totally brilliant today with Peacock Farrell in goal who doesn’t have the same quality of distribution but is still good in that area.
Not a dig at Muric, maybe a dig at those who believe Muric’s distribution plays a big part in our brilliant play.
It doesn’t

Err…. Yes it does. Excellent game from BPF today, especially the close-range save with his foot, but Muric’s distribution and positioning so far up stops the oppo team’s high press. He is his own sweeper

I didn’t notice Norwich’s high press today , one save from Peacock Farrell and totally bossed the game but you continue to believe Norwich high pressed us today

I saw the first half and was generally pleased with what I saw, thought Barnes was excellent, and Ekdal very solid. I missed the 2nd half, but peeked at the score at 3-0 and my eyes nearly popped out! A brilliant result, what a team.

I didn’t say anything at all about Norwich having a high press. We’re discussing Muric, so why would I have done that. It’s clear that when I said “oppo team” I mean any given team

You clearly said Muric stops the high press and accept Norwich did not have a high press.
So who stopped the high press today?
My point is that we don’t need Muric in goal to stop a high press despite all his fancy distribution .
There has been a video of his distribution against West Brom and for me that is exactly what he is, an act you would see at the theatre or the circus.
The other aspects of his game are questionable.
I say well done Peacock Farrell you could play in goal for the rest of the season and it would make no difference to our domination

That’s the first game I’ve seen this side in the flesh this season and I just can’t believe how good they are. We were a class above Norwich. My canary mates in the pub after said that it was like watching Man City. Absolutely brilliant. UTC.

So who stopped the high press today? THEY DIDN’T EMPLOY ONE TO STOP

Responses above in bold to correct your statements (not shouting). So now we have it, you think Muric is akin to a circus act. You should not misquote or mis-represent what I write to fit your agenda or counter that I think you are 100% incorrect

According to the stats, we didn't have as many passes, possession or pass success as we usually do, which I think was evident. But we did more of the ugly stuff (defending) when we needed to. But we've certainly played better attacking-wise this season. Norwich aren't a poor side and they could have had 1 or 2 themselves.
